Anyone else seeing inconsistencies while running Flak Jacket?
I know that in some of the pre-release streams, Vahn had said to use Flak Jacket to survive the Hunter Killer and the RC-XD. The problem is it doesn't seem to actually work. I keep getting killed in one hit by them, making me run Blind Eye with Greed.
On the other hand, I've hit a few people with a direct impact RPG and they survived with Flak Jacket.
IMO, either they ALL should kill you, or none of them should (assuming no damage has been taken). The way it is now seems stupid.
I'm a bit annoyed that the perk already doesn't work as it was described.

Is the multiplier the same as previously?? 0.35x explosive damage? If so, I wouldn't understand why the killstreaks would result in a one shot kill, but not the rpg. Direct impact also has contact damage of 10, so is it possible that you hit the ground near instead of a direct impact??

RPGs have much more direct damage. On MW3, for example, it was enough to 1hko a juggernaut, meaning it was more than 1250 damage.

Actually, it does 1000 damage in MW3. Juggernauts have the same health as everyone else and damage from direct impacts is only reduced if it's lower than 1000. Also, direct impact damage from explosives doesn't count as explosive damage, so Flak Jacket doesn't reduce it and you drop scavenger bags.

Do they have a headshot multiplier?

No, direct impact damage is always the same.

Just about positive I've hit them directly. Of course it could just be the awful net code making it look like it hit them when actually it hit the ground or something behind them because they weren't actually there. Just tested in local and it was definitely a one hit kill.
Still annoyed Vahn said "If you want to survive the Hunter Killer put on Flak Jacket" and that isn't actually 100% effective or true.

Your odds of surviving one are higher if you use FJ, for sure, but your odds of surviving are highest if you use Blind Eye (and even then you could die if it targets someone near you).
