Just measured them, it's the same as in previous games, 0.4 seconds. The Ballista is slightly faster at 0.35 seconds.

lol what? Only a 0.05s difference? That isn't nearly enough incentive to use the Ballista over the DSR-50. I'll trade in those 0.05s for a 1HK to the stomach, thank you very much.

And 2 more bullets, which is actually pretty nice, but not enough still.

ahh. I did forget about that. But it needs something more. Some sort of mobility bonus, whether it be a noticeably faster ADS in time or some other mobility factor.

Ballista also has the option of Iron Sights, which bring ADS down to .3 seconds. Still probably not worth it, but it's something.

12.5% increased ADS time(about 35% with iron sights), reduced sway, lower recoil, faster ads out time, very slightly faster rechamber time. But yeah still probably not worth it

Reduced recoil and faster rechamber time? lol wut
Well the recoil isn'tn going to matter anyway, since it shoots like 1bullet per second.

Faster rechamber time? Reminds me, and maybe I've just lost what was left of my marbles, but I keep going for the next shot on the DSR by "feel" and sometimes try to fire too quick (nothing happens). When I say feel I mean the sound and animation. It's like something is not synced up just right. I don't think I've had this problem with any other COD sniper rifles.
Haven't tried the Ballista for more than a second, but the thought of more chances of hit markers with a sniper rifle makes me ill. Think I'll likely stick to the DSR, but will give the Ballista some play time for sure.

lower sway does matter though

Reduced recoil and faster rechamber time? lol wut Ballista and DSR have the same fire rate. Well the reload add times supposedly have a +/- .05 second deviation. Please tell me this is a joke.

I think it's because the ammo counter isn't synched properly.

When I say feel I mean the sound and animation. It's like something is not synced up just right. I don't think I've had this problem with any other COD sniper rifles. So it isn't just me then! I've used the DSR online quite a bit and I do exactly the same thing. I take my shot, listen for the clinks and clunks of the bolt-cycle, line my next shot up as quick as I can, and pull the trigger... Only to find that my rifle wasn't actually ready to fire at all. My guess is that it's because in previous COD's MW3, most bolt-, pump-, lever-action, etc weapons the MSR (which is the only sniper I've ever used for quick-succession shots) fired at 60RPM (1 shot per second) whereas the DSR and Ballista fire at 50RPM in this game. It's only a little extra time per shot, but that might be why we suffer from shooting 'prematurely' EDIT: Why must you make me feel so insufficient Marvel?! I love the WaW bolt-actions but I still forgot about their unusual fire times!

The L96A1 fires at 50 RPM too, and most bolt-action rifles in WaW are even slower (46 RPM).

Yeah, but those two bolt actions RoFs don't go above 60rpm, do they? Recoil hardly has any affect on bolt actions, since it takes a second to fully recenter anyway. What I'm more curious about is idle speeds for all the weapons, and the zoom levels for each scope and sniper rifle..

Quick question, does the Ballista still keep its slightly faster ADS time with the ACOG sight?

Ballista has 0.96 movement speed instead of 0.95 and 0.44 ADS movement speed instead of 0.4.
