Surprisingly, it doesn't seem like anyone has asked about this. How fast does each kit move (assuming movement speed is decided that way)?
Also does lightweight affect walking, sprinting, or both? Has anyone done any tests with it?

All four classes have the same movement speed so a squad can stick together (unlike BF2 where Anti-Tank and Support were being left behind by the Medics and Spec Ops (though they got a nice 150 health in comparison)).
Lightweight only affects sprinting.
Over long distances, Lightweight will leave ordinary runners in the dust. Especially useful for keeping up with an unsuspecting enemy or keeping ahead of someone tailing you. Moving for cover, every little bit helps.

Is it only a 10% boost on sprinting? I don't think it worths it

Justifications for using Lightweight (For those who think it's "not worth it") - Your entire squad is dead and you have to run from the beginning of the level.
- You're concentrating on arming MCOM stations in Rush.
- Tons of snipers on the other team. The speed difference is enormous when someone is trying to lead you from their sniper nest a hundred yards away.
- You're C4ing as assault or recon.
Sure, it doesn't turn you into Speedy Gonzalez like the perk of the same name did in MW2, but it definitely has it's uses, and it can even be argued there are scenario's where it's the most useful first perk selection available to you. (My feelings were hurt, I use Lightweight/BodyArmor on my G3 Assault and SAIGA Recon a lot)

I use Lightweight on my recon with a SAIGA when I don't need the extra C4 (this is an excellent class with either body armour or extended magazines, by the way).
My feeling is that given enough time and enough rounds played, statistically Lightweight will have a beneficial effect in a number of areas, a lot of which have been mentioned above. Reaching tactically advantageous areas before players on either team, escaping danger, entering and leaving cover, traversing long distances while flanking on larger maps; all of these things and more will add up over time to fewer deaths and more kills if you are willing to sacrifice the other perks that occupy the same slot, and are willing to adjust your in-game behaviour enough to capitalise on the extra speed.
That said, the effect is subtle -- a little too subtle in my opinion. Personally I think the developers should increase the speed bonus to 15% or 17.5%, to make the 'instantaneous' benefits (as opposed to cumulative statistical advantages) more apparent. I think LW is a little underpowered at the moment because in my ~40hrs of playtime using this perk there haven't been that many instances were I was able to discern a direct 'instantaneous' benefit, even though I do to tailor my in-game behaviour to the perks I use.
Naturally I don't want to see the creation of cloying lightweight-based classes a la MW2, but I would like to see it buffed just a tad. As it stands right now, I don't blame people for not using LW, even if most of its detractors (those other than people preferring more ammo, explosives etc.) are either ignorant of its potential and/or unwilling to alter their behaviour to suit the perk.

I use Lightweight since it is the only spec of that slot that actually does something, assault already has unlimited ammo and equipment, and I don't need any sights (usually).
