From multiplayer screen go to options & hit your back button. You get: Game Version Number Connectivity Information ?? NAT Type BANDWIDTH!!!!!!!!!!!! External & Internal IP addresses Geographical Region!!!!!!!!!
I know why I instantly win host in nearly every game Ive ever played. It reports me has having 10,000kb/s of bandwidth. (2mb/12,b cable. tests as 2-4up, 20-25 down bursts) Also, B'ham Alabama is Geographical Region 36.

I think the real question is what Connectivity Information means. Where do you guys live?

Is there anyway of upping your bandwidth somehow?
Also, what platform are you guys on?
I'm on ps3 and usually get around 1000kbps of bandwidth.

On the 360, 652kbps and region 36. (Missouri)
I wonder what it'd be like where most enemies didn't have a 1-2 second advantage on me...

I believe 10,000 is the max call of duty bandwidth, as mine is the same

What do to improve your bandwith? Do you use an ethernet cable instead of the wireless thing?

Is bandwidth based on your isp's down/upload speeds? Currently, I have 6Mbps download so that means I can't get the 10,000kbps bandwidth that some users are getting?

that depends. most cable providers allow their bandwidth to increase in the 20mb/s for X seconds and/or XX mb of a download.
AFA what I have, I have the bandwidth tier stated above. 360 is on a static IP with the correct ports forwarded for XBL using enet, not wireless.

Actually that's not mediocre, but pretty decent for an upload bandwith.
Mine shows the upload bandwith at least. (608Kbps)

Are we sure this is upload bandwidth because my max IP upload is 50 kbps not 10003kbps and my max download is 20 000 kbps My result from just now in Kbps The options menu isn't even clear if it is kilobits or kilobytes...

Bytes is supposed to use a capital B and bits is supposed to be a lower case b. Going by this my bandwidth is 0.1224365234375 megabytes per second Which is 0.3881745876735 lower than what my IP max is. Treyarch should explain how this number is relative to your chances of host and how they got the number in the first place.

mw2 issued a bandwidth race upon any event that needed to change hosts. this one does it as soon as you connect to the mp server.

mw2 issued a bandwidth race upon any event that needed to change hosts. this one does it as soon as you connect to the mp server. So basically every round the guy with the highest number there is going to be host? I just want to know how it's calculated because I know my friends have higher speeds than mine and theirs is lower than mine.

It's your connection to the mp server I suspect. Takes it once when you click on the XBOX live button in the multiplayer menu I would think. I then uses that number (speed) to compare with others in a lobby to determine host when the old one leaves until you leave the mp part of the game.
