Bulletstorm looks BORING...TO THE MAX! It seems to be one of those perfect rentals. Because it looks like zero replay value.

Yeah I've seen this on a couple other forums today.
It would be funny if it didn't try so hard. ANd if Bulletstorm didn't already look like a bad CoD parody.

Oh it's CliffyB, producer of grey and brown ultra manly bloody screen corridor then cutscene shoehorned love interest dramatic character death regenerating health plot macguffin mega sergeant shooter Gears of War. What's up bro?
Shouldn't really heap too much disrespect on the guy but that game seems very out-of-character.
As for Bulletstorm... only time will tell .It could be cool, quirky and ridiculously fun, with a few fresh ideas to pimp up the FPS genre, or it could be obnoxiously juvenile and overbearing in its attempt to be "funny".

Mr Bigger Better and Badass should take it easy. Not only is this highly unprofessional but his over the top games are pretty easy targets themselves.

For 246 seconds there, I thought I was playing Bulletstorm.

What really rattles my jimmies is the fact that it picks on CoD 4 when there's plenty of other much more worthy fodder.

The first rule of satire is to pick a target larger than yourself, otherwise you're just being a bully.

dumb but got some guilty smiles. show's they played a lot of cod too. but yeah the overly hetero nature of cod, especially more recent ones, deserves some noting.

Bulletstorm appears to be going for a self-deprecating ridiculousness rather than a self-aggrandizing one, which I appreciate. My all-time favorite shooter is Redneck Rampage.

To clear things up, Cliffy B didn't make this game. People Can Fly did.
And Bulletstorm in no way takes itself seriously, if you haven't noticed that there is something wrong with you.
Cliffy B isn't the douchebag that he puts out with his public persona, the act just gets his games a lot of attention, It's actually a great move, because how many developers do you know of that have the same level of public recognition that Cliff has? I can only think of a few.
Some people are just butthurt because they realize that the stuff in that video is spot on, and the love the floundering CoD franchise too much. I like CoD a lot, but I recognize its flaws and I'm done with the series after Blops, unless something amazing happens and the new developer turns the series around.
I'm surprised that here of all places we'd get this sort of reaction to this video.

I'm not at all surprised by the reaction.
1) They tried really hard. That makes it ghey.
2) It was barely ever funny. The part where it is zooming in on the battlefield with the guy talking and the part where fireworks and American flags come out of the player's fingers are the only good bits. The rest is retarded.
3) With so much stupid shit they could have parodied about CoD they chose some of the least criticizeable parts of the game (relatively speaking).

Bulletstorm may be weak game (i dont know i havent played it) and CliffyB may be a douche, but lets be honest- plot of Modern warfare 2 is dumb and illogical as hell, with so much american pathos that im really sick of it (and Duty calls parody points these flaws brilliantly). And singleplayer gameplay is simple and lame (endless hordes of enemies until checkpoint, respawning grenades under your feet etc.). The only well made things about this game are decent, fastpaced multiplayer and huge marketing.

Most of us here seem to be of the opinion that Black Ops will be the last decent CoD game. And then you have Den, a PC player who says MW2 is his favorite. I'm not at all surprised by the reaction. 3) With so much stupid doo-doo they could have parodied about CoD they chose some of the least criticizeable parts of the game (relatively speaking). Pretty much this. Although I lol'd at Mega Ultra Master Sergeant Shooter Guy and "USA is dominaet!"

I honestly only found a couple parts of it funny. I like a good parody, but this seemed like they were really trying too hard to call CoD a bad game when it isn't. Like the bit at the beginning where he keeps going back and forth and back and forth after parodying the Fallout quote... wait... why quote that anyway? Kinda out of place. Anyway it was funny at first then it just ran the joke into the ground. Same with all the gags in it. The first time I saw each gag it was kinda funny, but they do them over and over and over.
By the end it felt more mean spirited than humorous, though I did kinda like the end it-self. *shrug*
I dunno... In my opinion a truly funny parody should both make fun of and pay homage to the source, otherwise it just comes off like they are jealous of IW/Treyarch because they are so successful with CoD. I'm trying not to take it seriously and I certainly know the CoD games are all flawed in various ways, but this just feels obnoxious to me.
The BC2 stuff I liked better, they just made some comments rather than a long drawn out joke beat into the ground.

I kinda liked it. I just didn't try to associate or compare it to Call of Duty that much, despite its title. I just enjoyed it for what it was.
Haha, you can't stop me unless the game goes into slow motion for some reason! oooooohhhhhhh nnnnnnooooooo...
