On the console version of world at war, I would have to say that this is the best class setup:
MP40 Magnum Bandolier/BB Double Tap Steady Aim
Since the MP40 deals 50 damage per bullet, having DT can kill faster than having SP within SMG Range.
Your thoughts?

thats not that bad of a class as long as u dont want to hit any1 at a range. i did give it a try and it rapes on war. put the drum on it also i perfer the thompson with the drum and stoping power and steady aim my self. easier to control when there just a bit to far to spray.
i would have to say my all time best is: SGT 44 with flash hider frag x2 stopping power extreme conditioning mostly play dom with that setup

i play hardcore and only hardcore. so my prefered guns are the svt, g43(with aparture) and m1 carbine when i hit lvl 65 for fully automatic guns... i personaly think the tommy is superier in hardcore 1. the tommy does not sway like the sgt44 2.mp40 trades in accuracy for damage making it 29 at long range, still requiring a 2 shot kill 3.type100.crapest, cheapest, most useless iron sights ever.not even lined up straight.its like grabing a butter knife and carving a gap in it. Now you would be pretty blind to dis agree. 4.i loved the p90. but unfortunetly they made it exstremely weak and renamed it 'ppsh' CONS. There are always cons 1. clip size 2.stg has 2x the distance of the tommy before the damage starts to drop out. 3.NO...TELESCOPIC SIGHTS.
Alternativly, if you wanted a more long distance fully automatic weapon go with a MG, or slap that telescopic sight on da stg and your ready to go.
Class Setup
TDM HC tommy/drum mag bomb squad sleght of hand(only usefull perk besides camoflauge) second chance, extreme conditioning, dead silence, steady aim, I CANT DECIDE!!
P.S i hate bouncing bettys man

On the console version of world at war, I would have to say that this is the best class setup: MP40 Magnum Bandolier/BB Double Tap Steady Aim Since the MP40 deals 50 damage per bullet, having DT can kill faster than having SP within SMG Range. Your thoughts? I'd assume that even with double tap that the MP40 still has a slower rate of fire than weapons such as the type 100, with stopping powered also is a 2 hit kill. Which I personally feel makes the mp40 with dt pretty redundant considering the fact that the recoil becomes near unmanageable over extended periods of fire. Plus the type, as I said would still have the ability to kill faster. I find juggernaut or stopping power are quite useful on the mp40. Regardless of it's 50 base damage, quite often I find myself shooting at mid range, at which, without stopping power the weapon takes too many rounds to kill due to the decrease in damage. Heres my personal favorite class. FG42 Magnum Bandoiler / Bouncing bettys / Satchels (Game mode/playstyle dependent) Stopping Power Steady Aim This weapon is pretty much as good as a SMG in close quarter combat with the disadvantage that spraying off the hip will often result in an empty clip when the target dies.

i enjoy the browning 1919 with stopping power. it sounds great and drops with 2 shots cross the map. whats up with the sound of the sgt44? it sounds like the rifle is going 2 fall apart

Yes, you are correct that the RPM of the MP40 with DT (712 RPM) is still lower than the RPM of the Type 100 stock (750).
A MP40 w/DT and a Type 100 w/SP pretty much kill at the same time within range while the Type 100 kill 3 hundredth of a second faster than the MP40 outside of range.
I have tried both setup and I find that the MP40 works better for my style of gameplay. When I am out of the effective range, I find bursting 2 to 3 bullets at a time helps alot.

i use:
type-100 (bigger clip) magnum BB stoppin power steady aim
i find tht it works well, with the good clip size of the type-100, the power of the magnum, then with the perks i have i find it nearly produced a really good setup

i like changing classes a lot and use most of the weapons. i play regular tdm on xbox live.
most used/favorite:
carbine flash hider walther p38 sticky x2 or bandolier stopping power steady aim ordinance training
in a pinch i always switch to the broken gun: mp40 suppressor or round drum with stopping power.

Since the MP40 deals 50 damage per bullet, having DT can kill faster than having SP within SMG Range. Your thoughts? I always always use stopping power. IMO any time double tap gives a slight damage per second edge over stopping power, I don't think it's worth it. In my experience a fight is usually determined more by who sees who first, who has the better connection, and quicker physical reactions etc than the .02 second edge DT might give in point-blank situations. In addition, as jnsimex noted, along with your increased shots per second you now must deal with more recoil or viewkick per second (making it definitely worse than SP at mid-long range), spend more time vulnerable as you reload more often, and will find yourself in overall ammo trouble more if you tend to stay alive for a long time.

in the case of the mp40, it isn't a slight decrease in kill time with double tap, but a drastic one. With stopping power it does 1s1k to head within range though. Personally, I use both. Stopping power as my "assault rifle"esque class and double tap on my true smg class.

P.S i hate bouncing bettys man Your wrong, on hardcore the mp40 out performs all other smg's because if you put stopping power on it, it is a one shot kill at ANY distance, with or without a supressor. plus with dual mags, 64 bullets each with the capability to kill in one shot, your thompson is just weak.

In CoD4 I use:
Sniper M40A3 - Red Tiger M9 Pistol, silenced Stun Grenade Bandolier Stopping Power Iron Lungs or Extreme Conditioning
Shotgun W1200 - Grip - Blue Tiger M9 Pistol Smoke Grenade --- Double Tap Extreme Conditioning
SnD or TDM AK-74u AK-74u - Silencer - Red Tiger M9 Pistol, silenced Smoke Grenade SnD: Bomb Squad TDM: Bandolier UAV Jammer SnD: Dead Silence TDM: Extreme Conditioning
The Only Assault Rifle I'm Good With MP44 M9 Pistol, silenced Smoke Grenade Bandolier UAV Jammer Extreme Conditioning
I don't care that the silenced AK-74u has reduced hip accuracy and I never use Steady Aim. I use this thing called the left trigger, and I actually aim at people when I kill them, unless I'm using the shotgun, as it would be less accurate when aiming down the sights. I run a lot. I acquire many kills and many deaths. Lately many deaths.

I switched to MP40/Stopping Power aswell, It is absolutely amazing. It's just like the m16, only you can spray at close range.
