Has anyone checked this yet? I do not notice much, if any difference at all.

No recoil increase.
Lesson #1 about knowing stats- Don't listen to the in-game stat bars.

probably a placebo because of the particular FOV and because the sight more easily shows it's movement/aim lag than certain other sights.

I've used it extensively on several weapons, and while you're able to visually see recoil better because of the way the sight drags (try it on a KSG), the actual shot placement is either identical or so close I can't tell the difference.

I remember before the game came out, everyone was like "Ermahgerd, MMS is gonna be awesome!" and now barely anyone uses it (from my experience anyway). Sure you get an advantage over that 1 camper in the corner upstairs, but you get next-to-no advantage over the other 5 enemies everywhere else

Pretty much. Maybe it's my true skill level but people seem to be pretty set on running around. I can't keep track of where enemies are either since my teammates are all over the place too. This was something that really annoyed me about Black Ops 2 when i first started playing, but after having some opportunity to play some matches with and against teams that are actually working together, I think it's the players that make the game so frenetic. If you're just in a PUG room, at least 2/3 of the players in the lobby just want to run around the map like crazed ferrets on methamphetamine, and the one or two guys on a team that aren't rushing are going to have the entire enemy team respawn behind them the moment they try to post up in a firing position. It's a very different experience when you've got 3 or 4 guys on a team that are supporting each other. Matches like this are a lot more static, and may never swap spawns at all. That's when you start seeing a lot more stationary enemies.

I think the MMS is definitely good, it just doesn't do what people want it to do. People want it to fill the void left by the HBS. They want it to "find" people. That's not what it does. MMS is useful for checking corners before you turn them. It's to help careful players move around without dying to the people that usually kill careful players (perfectly stationary pre ADSed people). The playstyle that MMS helps the most doesn't need help against runners; if you're aiming at/around corners, you're probably going to kill them anyway.

One of the problems with that is that players like myself who do wait for enemies to come around corners are often strafing side-to-side while they wait, pre-ADS

It seems to work on the same displacement model of movement that Ghost does. To avoid showing up you have to run back and forth across a fairly wide path.

It's probably the same thing as the silencer. Stats say that it increases recoil, but it makes it easier to hit your target because you have a clear sight of what your shooting.

Both silencer and MMS reduce centerspeed by 1 point.

Both silencer and MMS reduce centerspeed by 1 point. Pffft, big deal. That's not gonna do much anyway from what I know.
