Zealots make for pretty good force fields, and ultras/archons can't stomp them out.

I wonder... how come pros don't research burrow all that often? It seems like an effective way to squeeze extra longevity out of roaches; after all their HP regenerates relatively slowly. Is it because roaches are often used for aggressive measures and there's just no time to heal up?

I watched Grubby play a 4v4 as Zerg on his Twitch channel. He burrowed his drones whenever he was harassed by Ultalisks, and because his 4th base was so close to the center of the map he barely lost any drones each time. He also burrowed his roaches every time a locust swarm came overhead, eventually transitioned to brood lord/corruptor and steamrolled the MVP of the other team. With all the free units fighting each other it was like watching a MOBA.

Yeah me and asasa played that last night Cool on paper but if someone makes a big drop into a base it basically doubles your army supply Red bull is really trying to push sc2 as a thing in the usa king of halo is there too "one of the most powerful spectator sports on the planet" he really said that?

Saying that merging Air and Ground mech unit upgrades would be the best way to make Mech play more viable.

Looks like CoD isn't the only game that uses a modded version of Bank Gothic MT... kinda, anyways.

Also, if you look at the "Command Center" part and the numerical health indicator they've used a widened variant of the "Eurostile" font. The vanilla version of this font is used in Spec Ops: The Line loading screens, and another heavily modded version can be found in another upcoming title. Also the "CALL OF DUTY" part in that pictures above shares the same font as any internet meme if you pry off the borders.

Here's a match with Gowswer vs. Bomber. The match goes on for about an hour in real time (~1:26:00 SC2 time), and it strikes a balance between between epic and silly. As of last night I've discovered that the record for the longest match of Starcraft 2 has been broken at ~2 hours (~3 hrs in SC2 time)- it's a PvZ and I'll be sure to link it here whenever I find it.

According to the most recent SC2 patch on Liquidpedia (Implemented on 11/11/13): PROTOSSOracle -Movement speed increased from 3.375 to 4 (~ +19%). -Acceleration increased from 2 to 3 (+50%). -Units that burrow or cloak while under the effects of Revelation will once again be revealed after unburrowing or uncloaking. TERRANArmory -Vehicle and Ship Weapon upgrades have been combined. Siege Tank -Siege Mode attack period decreased from 3.0 to 2.8 (- ~7%). Widow Mine -Sentinel Missiles now deal reduced damage to units caught within its splash radius based on their distance from the target: -40 damage within 1.25 radius. -20 damage from 1.25 to 1.5. -10 damage from 1.5 to 1.75. ZERGRoach Warren -The Tunneling Claws upgrade now increases burrowed Roach movement speed from 1.41 to 2 (~ +42%). I like this patch, but I just don't understand how visceral some of the reactions were on HuskyStarcraft's video about the patch. Some hated it because the Zerg got one buff out of this. Some went ad hominid against Blizzard for making unused setups more viable. I guess that's YouTube for ya.

The only concern I, as a relative outsider, found actually legitimate was the concern that Terran can now incredibly easily switch from mech to vikings to take care of Zerg's mech counter (Brood lords etc)

I'm guessing they're banking on the fact that Zerg can make units faster (EDIT: therefore they can change their unit composition more). I'm worried that we'll see more late-game matches where the Terran can stomp the Zerg because the Zerg didn't have any units to answer the Terran's massive BC/Raven/Viking composition. Then again I suck at this game, so I can't really say my concerns are justified. I mean, two harassment units on the other races got buffed by quite a bit.

Alright, now THIS is pretty sweet. Brood War units return to Starcraft 2 and it looks like Starcraft on CRACK. I recommend playing this video in higher quality so that you can read the spectator's comments.
After discussing it over in the comments having more than single focal point of action doesn't take away that much from the experience. So long as action is constantly happening it doesn't matter which battles the camera decides to focus on.

Yeah, I went on TB's Starcraft channel and checked out the other Starbow video and commented "I have the strange feeling that Starbow will be to Starcraft 2 what Project: Melee is to Brawl." I sincerely hope it does become such, because watching these was a lot more fun and gave me that BW feel. It seems more competitive, generally just better, than Starcraft 2.

Got the same impression as well. It sure as hell made me as ecstatic as watching those old Korean pro games in BW.
