I've watched some footage of it; it plays a lot like Conviction. Limited pistol rounds are back, more gadgets, guard dogs, and the multiplayer might keep you around for a couple more hours. Nothing too ground-breaking as far as I can tell; I'd probably wait until it goes on sale before getting it.

Conviction + Non-lethal options + Much more open level design + Decent graphics + Corner takedowns + Sprinting and MUTHAFUGGN CROUCH SPRINTING + A lot more content + Spies vs Mercs - Black and white stealth indicator - Annoying enemy dialogue
It's Conviction (which I feel had some great design choices regarding controls in spite of its many massive flaws) but with most of the shittiness removed. Even Ghosting on Perfectionist I think it's way too easy but it handles like a dream and really immerses you in the spy/spec ops feel in a way that Conviction completely failed to. The story is terrible (not nearly as bad as Conviction's) and of course Ironside is gone (Sam is now the most boring character in existence and also seems like he's 35, not 60), but the gameplay is quite fun. All in all I was very impressed with it.
Spies vs Mercs can be pretty dang fun if you have a team but there is a lot of balancing and spawn trapping to be fixed, hard.
If you had even the slightest degree of appreciation for Conviction or if you are a big fan of older entries in the series I highly recommend it.

I wish they would stop making Splinter Cell games and put out a new Rainbow Six instead. Miss good ol' terrorist hunt.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Tom Clancy, you will be missed. For me, this is like the day that Billy Mays died. Time to go read a bunch of books.

I think we can all agree that he left a tad early, but at least he didn't leave us empty-handed. If there's a next life, Mr Clancy, I'd consider them fortunate to have you.

My first real shooters were clancy games. Glad to see he also left with a bang with blacklist. One of very few people I feel legitimately sad to see leave. Salute to you.
