Where the spreadsheet says "Max Dropoff End" for shotguns, does their range extend further from there but at min damage? Either way this is depressing.

Soooo... the pump action Tac-12 shoots 320 units then friggin disappears! Holy Foxtrot. The MW3 AA-12 went to 450. Also, Corpes/Pwn, great job and thanks for all the hard work.

You guys are judging everything by recoil plots with a sample size of 1? k. You can get a general idea if a gun kicks like a mule or not though. Any random wall test of the ACR will NEVER show huge random kicks. Any random wall test will never show the M60 firing like a laser. K? K According to the videos, mtarx with rapid fire seems to have less recoil than stock mtarx. We know for a fact that's impossible. The gun just got a lucky set of recoil values for rapid fire that time. You can tell the extremes, sure, but according to the videos that only seems to be the smgs and a small handful of assault rifles. Everything else has medium recoil, which we can't exactly pinpoint or map out ccorrectly until we see at least 20 mags on a wall. Or wait til probaddie's chart/marvel4's spreadsheet is out. Those are always great.

I knew that they would nerf the range and that if you wanted MW3 like range without the range proficiency you would need to use the gosh darn golly gee whiz muzzle brake. The worst fuc king part? The lowest common denominator will STILL be convinced shotguns are OP.

Wow, the range on the shotguns look pitiful, worst they've ever been.
Corpsecreate, do you have concrete numbers on how Muzzle Brake will affect the shotguns, as well as their damage profiles when using slug rounds?
All may not be lost for them, but I'm not holding my breath.

The SC, AK and Remington recoil look sweet from what I have seen. The AK will probably be my to go AR the first hours. MSBS looks very decent aswell (but I don't really like burst)
Honey badger and SC also look good, but the honey badger outclasses the SC on pretty much every level. 5 hits on long range is a pain for every AR with at least some recoil though...
ARX sounds like a joke... I don't know who mentioned it was like the MP7 recoil wise, lol it is not. AND you get a 6 hit kill where many AR are still 3 hit kill....

Slugs are 200 - 34 from tests before the first patch. They do not make shotguns any more viable. The game comes out tomorrow, you can see for yourself

So because the damage dropoff for shottys starts at 0, the muzzle brake just extends the range dropoff end? So for a FP6 the buckshot would disappear at 522 units? Yuck...I'm starting to worry that I may have to use something other than a shotgun for the first time since WaW...

I swear I play a different game to you lot. If I remember I'll count the lmgs tonight. Maybe it's the perfect storm of time zone, game type (TDM) and Xbox live? At 11 pm there are more QSers and LMGs than there are AR users or at least, it can appear that way. I suppose it could be the 'remember the bad times more than the good' placebo thing but I dunno..... I never see LMG users because they're always dead.

Why are the 7-hit kill ranges outside of the max range of bulldog and tac12? I thought that the pellets disappeared after the max range...

Yeah I saw that too. At 20 min damage the Tac-12 should not even have a 7 pellet to kill range.

Well, I hope they adjust the range profiles on the Shotguns, because as is, they're pitiful, and won't kill for s*** past 10 meters.
And for the pump actions, they need to make slugs 2 hit kills, as 3 is just stupid, but understandable for the Semi-autos.

When I get my own custom PC server, that will be the first gun on the ban list.
And the PM9 (Oh I'm sorry CBJ-MS) is once again absolutely pointless when put up against the PP90M1 (Oh sorry again I meant Bizon). Aside from the integrated FMJ there's literally no reason to use that gun over the Bizon or any other SMG for that matter.
And I cannot understand the R5 RGP. The AK-12 and CM901 both have the same RoF, max damage, and recoil. The R5's 3HK range is just a little bit longer, but it drops off to a 5HK while the AK never drops below a 4HK. To put the finishing curb stomp on the R5, it has a 24 round mag compared to the AK's 30 round mag.
Typical IW balance... Uggghhhh. Developers need really need to start hiring teams solely dedicated to balance. Balance is the most important aspect of any competitive MP experience. IW sucks at it, Treyarch sucks at it, DICE sucks at it, almost all studios suck at it, and they never taken in suggestions from the community who usually have much better ideas about balance than the developers do.

MTAR-X RF completely dominates the Bizon and every other SMG except a tiny 150 unit window where the vector is still a 3 hk when the mtar is 4, and the CBJ RF inside its 3hk range. You can hate the irons if you want, but numerically the mtar is the best SMG by a mile. Also, if you think the MSBS is a problem (lol) you should know that the MR class has a burst fire attachment, and it doesn't reduce damage or range, but does increase RoF by 25%. MR-28 is a 2hk to 1269, and a 3hk forever, in a 750 rpm burst.
