Someone did CoD4 in 1:38:59. . . in 2009. Current unbeaten World Record. Not terribly interesting.
I found this out while watching a speedrun stream of Katamari Damacy. lololololololololololol

I have so many games in my backlog that Im pretty sure I wont play some of them ever ( thanks steam ). I guess people that do speed runs have pleeeeenty of free time. If its a platformer like a 2D Super Mario Bros I could find it interesting, but if its a 3D action adventure game with dialogue and cutscenes ... I just dont get it.

Cutscene skips and dialogue triggers mang. He actually does a few trigger skippy thingies. According to all the speedrunners I've had the fortune to ask about this, speedrunning a game is different than just playing it. They're dedicated. It's fun to try to get better and better, gotta get that glod. A speed run in scripted singleplayer? Lel. It's only fun when they break the script.
