Saw a load screen tip that says cloaking was developed for titan sensors and not as effective vs the naked eye. My interpretation of that would be that the cloaking effect is actually harder to see while piloting a titan than on foot, but it could also just mean that it's more effective vs AI's, although that does seemingly include the ones on foot.
Anyway, I was just wondering if any of this has actually been confirmed by anybody? I've seen a few pilots while titaning, but not a lot, though I don't think that's necessarily evidence that they are harder to see. heh *shrug*

Cloaked units are basically invisible VS titans. The only thing that really gives it away is jumping.

This is what a cloaked pilot looks like to other pilots: Cloaked units are basically invisible VS titans. The only thing that really gives it away is jumping. Cloaked pilots are invisible to Titans except the little thrusters on their jetpacks when they jump. They will flicker occasionally, however. I assume being cloaked makes all AI completely ignore you, but I can't say for certain.

Ahh I seee. I thought I had seen a cloaked player silhouetted against the sky while I was piloting a titan, but I could have been wrong.

I think I've seen cloaked pilots from inside a Titan... but it's a lot harder. I think maybe one thing is if they are running through smoke effects you end up seeing a pilot shaped hole in the smoke. The jump jets are a dead giveaway, I wonder if once the regeneration settles down if the Stealth Kit will become more common.

Question: does "firing a weapon" reveal a cloaked pilot? I think the answer is no, but I am 100% certain.

Yes it does, but they flicker more than fully reveal.

BTW, one design that is well thought out is that the scope is completely invisible to the cloaked player. This is not a big deal for non-sniping weapons, but for roof top camp ing snipers it is a major inconvenience. They can't essentially snipe when cloaked, so they have to shoot without cloaking, hopefully get the kill they want, then enable cloaking. Of course, people who put red tape on the center of of their screen (noobs ) are not affected.

I'm sure I have seen cloaked pilots from onboard the Titan. "I see you"
