Okay so what am I missing with the extractions? I know you run to the ship. I have no problem with that. I guess I just don't know the maps that well yet, but it seems like at least half of them the only way to reach the ship is from the roof of a building that is too tall to really parkour on top of very easily with the whole enemy team on your ass. I'm getting tired of getting all the way there and then fumbling around trying to figure out how to get on top of the damn thing until the ship leaves without me. Gawd I wish they would add a friggin' private match mode already so I could just go learn these maps offline. I hate having no option but to learn the maps during matches.

Most extraction positions seem to be placed in areas designed to usually prevent immediate vertical scaling from underneath, as in you'd have to get up to that level and traverse on the way. So it's often best to take the first way up to the elevated positions that you can find as opposed to ducking through the ground levels until just before the extraction.

I had an extremely hard time making it to them in the beta as well. Pretty frustrating but I thought it was because I sucked. I think it will be good in the end (been watching some twitch) but it really needs some practice! They could have made it a little easier if you ask me, because it was designed to make the losing team feel good I guess. Noobs (me) were never making it up there.
The positive thing is that some enemies can't get there either

For the entire first generation I sucked so much at doing wall running (both due to lack of skills and lack of map knowledge) to the point that I completely gave up the idea of reaching the ship and using the time practicing my wall running skills at location as far away from the ship as possible After playing through generation 1 and now at generation 2, my wall running skills has significantly improved. The epilogue is now very enjoyable to me, regardless what side I am on. Whoever came up with the idea is brilliant.

The easiest way to get in is manually eject from a Titan if you have one.

The easiest way to get in is manually eject from a Titan if you have one. Great tip! I did not even know that you can eject from a non-doomed Titan until I did a Google search, looks like this can be done by hitting up on the D-Pad and then press "X" 3 or 4 times. Usually not a good option because after doing this the Titan will explode. But I can think of 2 situations that this is useful: 1) As pegasus pointed out, if you are in a Titan during the epilogue, you can move towards the evac ship, wait until the ship arrives, eject yourself into the air, and maneuver yourself towards the landing area of the ship; 2) If you have nuclear ejection (or even better the burn card that does even bigger explosions), you can charge your Titan into enemy Titian(s), eject and let the explosion do its thing.

And if you are on the intercepting team during the epilogue you can put your titan under the evac ship and nuclear eject to deal massive damage to the evac ship.

Do we know the health of the drop ship? It seems to take a few Titans to bring one down.

In about 25~ losing games I've only successfully evacuated once. I got close once but ended up jumping off the map because the ship took off a spit second before I could jump to it :-(

Most likely you are going to get killed by the enemies rushing towards you. Get close, patrol around the vicinity, and wait until the dropship arrives before getting to it. You do need to have the map knowledge and good enough parkour skills for the final climb if the landing area is high.

I've gotten better at this. Parkour skills and map knowledge are extremely useful. It's worth noting that most buildings can be climbed via parkour, but it's easy to fail at it if you're rushing or haven't got your parkour down. The key seems to be that if you want to gain height you need to reset your wall run by contacting a different wall or the ground or something. You can double jump back onto the same wall you were just wallrunning on, but you can't really gain height that way since it won't let you grab it again right away.
Easiest way is if there's a concave corner in the building as you then have super easy access to two adjacent walls and you can just wall jump between them all the way up. It doesn't really matter if it's a 90 degree angle or something pretty shallow, but watch for ledges that may stop your vertical movement. Two parallel walls facing each other are just as good, if slightly trickier only because it's natural to try to run along the wall sideways.
If there's no good concave corners or facing walls you can use a convex corner via a double jump, though if you run off the edge too fast it's hard to get back to the building instead of just flying off the side, and I don't know if you can chain it back and forth, but you can at least get one more wall run/jump out of even a 90 degree corner.
Zip lines are also good, but definitely require some map knowledge. Sucks taking a zip line you think will take you right to the escape only to find out you're going away from it, although sometimes even those can chain a few ziplines together to get you back there.
Ejecting is the best, of course. Near the end of a match I usually start thinking about epilogue as winning or losing I really like to have my titan for that. I saw a video that suggested that ejecting when the ship had 8 seconds before departing was the latest you could make it. However, I did once manage to eject at just 3 seconds to departure and make it out. The ship started leaving and I thought I was a goner but I still managed to get in as I was falling and escaped. I've only done that once, though. You gotta nail the fuselage, if you just hit a wing you'll just fall right through and be disappointed. It's not always best to wait to the last moment to eject or to go too early. Mainly, you may need to stay longer to defend the ship or eject sooner to set off your nuke, also to defend the ship.
Mainly I just need to learn the fracking maps... which is still not coming too naturally to me. I'm learning certain areas, but still not really developing an overall picture.
