Shotguns haven't been popular ever since they've became primaries hmm, I suppose, though they were fairly popular in MW3. (not so much anymore, but they used to be pretty big.) I definitely think that a shotgun does make sense as a second weapon though. Personally, I think that overkill should be dropped to at least a 2 point perk, and quite possibly a one point perk. Maybe a 1 point overkill, but you can't use it with extra attachment? Not sure. As far as an LMG, what do you guys think of an FAD variant in the LMG category? It would have a drum magazine, say 64 base (current FAD is 63 with extended) which then goes to 96 extended. 1000rpm, 30 damage at all ranges, large headshot multiplier, mw3 style iron sights. Just slightly faster handling than other LMG's: 82.5% move speed, 0.325s ads time, 5% faster ads walk speed or there abouts (I admit I am ignorant of ads walk speed for lmgs, but just make it 5% faster). Recoil will be moderate / high, but mostly upwards, with just a little bit of side to side wobble. Basically, bring back the mw3 FAD with high penetration and a big magazine, but make the handling more in line with lmgs, just a tiny bit faster. ALSO, I think we should have a burst fire attachment for LMG's. It won't increase damage, but it will give a 5 or 6 round burst, with a moderate delay. Increase the rate of fire in burst, but with a delay long enough to lower the overall rate of fire. Feedback?

I'd say an LMG with aspects of AR handling and good sights is a very good guess for the next DLC weapon.
I'm trying to think of a situation where I would want the Burst Fire attachment as you described it over the Rapid Fire attachement that already exists, using any of the four existing LMGs, and I can't really think of one.

Burst Fire HAMR. The HAMR isn't in Ghosts. Also, you could get the same effect by stopping firing, then starting firing again, without a burst delay.

It would be interesting to see a single-barrel shotgun. When you pull the trigger it blows the heavens out the sky and the angels with it. It wakes the demons below in a violent bellowing earthquake, yet they cower in their beds knowing what horrible fate awaits for them in the mortal realm. A shotgun that melts armies and turns bravery into a fine black powder. Even the human half of the Phrexian chief architect questioned his morality when forging such an unholy armament. That men would- NEVER MIND IT'S BEEN PATCHED. It's like a fart in the wind now; use an SMG or some other shooty thing that OpTic guild uses.

Hmm, I thought about it, and your right about burst fire. I was considering a recoil advantage, certainly over rapid fire, but I'd have to tread VERY lightly to avoid being op. Lsat and m27 are accurate enough as is. I'm kinda bummed we didn't get a dlc lmg, but at least gpdw will be nice. Once I get it.

And now, for something completely different. Under barrel attachments for shotguns. I heard you liked the bulldog, so now you can put a bulldog on your bulldog, so you can shoot while you shoot and spam while you spam. 800-900rpm, 10 to 13 rounds, with reload every 4, and every 6-9 shots! Get yours today!!!

Infinite penetration and range. All projectiles appear as semitrucks flying through the air. handling properties of a juggernaut using a javelin. No hipfire, screen turns black when ads. Gun beeps when pointing at enemies.
