Doesn't do anything. Scatterfire is still 21 rounds per second.
So the difference is only a 1.1666x increase compared to the original 1.3125x increase in the rate of fire.

So far I only have time to use Extended Mags for like 4 games, that 1 less bullet to kill at range makes big difference. Make sure the second burst lands and usually I can win the gun fight.
Will try Starburst, should be good.

woo they fixed the issue on PC where maps would take nearly a minute to load and you would spawn on the ground 10 seconds into the game and i'm finally in the 100+ club yay

^ Great score, well done. So anyway I was using the R101 and R97 last night and i felt like i missed a lot of kills with the 101 that i would've normally got and the R97 is just a wrecking machine now. No recoil so long distance shots are no problem, it's got a huge mag and the rate of fire increase felt like it made a difference, but i don't know maybe it's just me.

Yes. Loading is much better. Match loading anyway. The "loading" screens when you're just changing menus or whatever still suck due almost certainly to connecting to online servers. Wish they would speed that up, but that's beside the point.
R97 is for real. I may be enjoying it more than the carbine now. Funny considering it's not stronger, just faster, but it always felt weak before. I probably also used a silencer as soon as I got one making it even weaker and nowadays I rarely silence anymore. Though, my parkour is rusty. heh

Yeah, Dumien and I were in a 4 player party then a 5 player party, and we had 2 instances of the party being splitted to different teams. Based on my experience of playing with parties, seems to me that 3-player fire team is the ideal size for a party. Less than that winning is still not a sure thing, more than that it is not much of a fight (if the opposing side is consisted of randoms). 3-player fire team feels right. On a side note: how do people feel about "Marked for Death"? From my point of view it is well designed and very intense. The only downside is that it is so intense that I can't use the game mode to grind challenges

How do people feel about the new Titan customization features? 1) The Titan insignia: they look cool on the selection screen, but I have hard time noticing them in game. Where are they displayed anyway? 2) The Titan VO: I assign the 3 VOs to the 3 different chasis, which gives them a bit more personality. Jeeves is my favorite, Lisa sounds weird at first but I am now used to it. However, I can't help but feel a little bit disappointed that they did not try to use "famous' robot characters for this purpose (most likely for a very good reason, because they will have to get the rights to do so, which can be very expensive): how much cooler would it be if your Titan has the voice of Optimus Prime? C3PO? Cortona from Halo? I would pay money for that

Gimme Prime for sure! But, if doing so makes my titan fade to grey when it's been doomed and says "'Til all are one" I may have too many feels to play TF anymore. ;p
How about HAL or the creepy computer girl from the horrible RE movies? Or the fucking MCP! and every time you kill a titan "End of line". Maybe the holographic doctor from Voyager if you're weird like that... Or better yet just the Enterprise computer voice from STNG. Or going back to Transformers how about... Unicrom! I mean Jesus Christ having the voice of Orson Welles as your titan! (Though I doubt there's enough lines that would particularly fit the context.) Well, there's a lot of fun options. heh
As for the insignia... I like the idea of it, but yeah I don't even know where it is on the mechs. I never see them. I'm not holding my breath for customization. We can't even change the location or colors of the insignia. Respawn's just never going to give us many options for that, at last not in this one. Maybe in sequels.

God this was a huge update. Lots of changes including some subtle performance ones. Anyways, here's all the ones that were missed by Den or not noted in patch notes or whatever.
Lunge speed on punch change: Atlas: 600 -> 405 Ogre: 450 -> 300 Stryder: 600 -> 540
But how this applied has its own code too. If you hit the other player, speeds are largely ignored, as you move as much as you need to connect to the other player, but if your melee doesn't connect with anything there is some math to get your speed.
If the game thought you needed a lunge type melee (whatever that means) in a titan they changed the melee lunge speed to a constant 500 and it just makes your velocity that.
If the game thought you needed a non lunging type melee, it depends on if you are dashing at the time or not. So while dashing, meleeing, and missing, pre-patch, the lunge speed was multiplied by 0.9. But also, they changed how the final velocity is calculated when you dont hit anything by changing 'dif' in the following equation from 0.78 to 0.078. finalVel = playerVel * dif + lungeVel * ( 1.0 - def ) And when meleeing and missing, but not dashing, pre-patch, the lunge speed was multiplied by 0.2 then added to your velocity, but post-patch, the player's speed is not changed.
Kinda complicated IMO, but nothing changed specifically for using big punch.
The Arc Cannon Burn Card is super OP, and they removed arc cannon's ability to chain off of unused turrets.
The CAR burncard got holosight. G2 too. LMG too. R-97 got HCOG. Hemlock got a buff.
LMG vertical recoil got lowered, and its first shot kick too.
The prox mine's min/max damage against pilots has been modified to be the same as the arc nade. max 500 -> 125 min 0 -> 70
I found new gamemodes in the files: elimination atdm big brother heist capture the titan uplink exfiltration titan tag titan escort
Also: They modified the Railgun's mods that aren't even accessible in-game... And the reserve ammo for the chaingun... And they disabled the reload on the charge rifle...

Oh, and the big thing. They're adding some kind of Black Market in-game where each player gets "coins" to spend. There's just a smidgen in the code about it, but I don't think it's a micro-transaction thing.

Did they buff the cluster missile damage? It seems to do so much more damage than I remember prepatch. Pretty much everyone is running it and whoever lands the best cluster missile in a 1v1 pretty much wins since it'll strip your shields and health so quickly.

I have not used Cluster missile since Gen 3 until this weekend, when I need all the help I can get to go for the MVPs. It does feel very strong and suddenly very popular, not sure if it is buffed or not, but I totally agree that it needs some serious nerf to balance with other options. Post update 4 balancing suggestions: 1) Cluster needs nerf, say a little bit delay before the explosion, to force players to use it more for area of denial, not a "super" shot that explodes right away, has a big radius, and has no "respect" to particle wall; 2) Plasma Railgun needs a little bit more buff. Add a little bit ADS speed? 3) Hammond 2011 needs a little bit buff, say having a little bit more range than RE45; 5) Frag grenade needs a little bit buff, maybe bigger radius? shorter fuse? or more damage? The rest feel really balanced.

Here is what I have to do: every time I am in a titan fight, I have to get really prepared mentally on the inevitable cluster blast coming my way, having at least one dash ready and at least 2 directions to maneuver.
