Your game is glitched then. just hopped on PS3 and the L86 Thermal made a plot identical to ProBaddies' video

If anything it wouldn't be glitched but a soft ban from IW. edit: This has me down right curious. Currently my ps3 is boxed up (new PS4 is set up) but I am going to hook it back up and do some investigating. Will update.

Thermal+Silencer was just ever so slightly larger than Thermal+Grip and the same as Thermal with nothing else.

L86 with silencer does NOT have a laser beam
L86 with grip DOES have a laser beam.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Why would silencer ever affect recoil? Like I said it's the same as every other non recoil reducing attachment. Halfway across the map and the recoil pattern was the size of a player model's head. That's a laser beam by any definition. Obviously Grip will reduce recoil more because it actually reduces recoil. Silencer has never reduced recoil

Thermal+anything gave a laser beam in the past when prone. Grip just technically gives the highest possible viewkick reduction.

i'm right now trying to find an older MW3 clip that shows thermal silencer with recoil (in case I am remembering game with rose colored goggles). Still no luck.

Yeah, and I already said it was the same recoil as everything else + Thermal, except things that affected recoil. Because Thermal affected the recoil, not the suppressor. And as far as anyone is concerned there never was a point when the spread was 0 from anyone's recollection.

Has it ever occurred to you that you could be wrong fpsdredd ? We have proven by two uninvested and seemingly altruistic testimonies that you are wrong. Nothing was changed. You have yet to prove it beyond asserting it, whereas we have strong evidence and people corroborating our stories.

I just watched 20 something videos, including Drift0r, Tmart, RawInstinct and several others including no names, from 2 years ago on the L86 Thermal, very few used silencer, almost none went prone, and the few that did was all gameplay and no wall tests. The only one claiming that there was ever anything different from then and now is you, so as you said nobody has proven anything

Whoa whoa whoa, I ain't done yet. (I'm busy with school right now so finding the time to make video rebuttals is hard. Sue me.) L86 with Silencer + Thermal: Keep in mind that, to achieve this combination, we had to remove the Grip, which will, in itself, reduce accuracy. Is anyone convinced that this is worse than how the L86 w/ Thermal + Silencer performed in the past? Now, to respond to some of the posts I missed: L86 with silencer does NOT have a laser beam L86 with grip DOES have a laser beam. Is anyone else seeing this? Of course, but that's because you removed an attachment known to reduce recoil in order to equip a silencer. Thermal+Silencer was just ever so slightly larger than Thermal+Grip and the same as Thermal with nothing else. Okay so then it still stands. L86 has been nerfed then... -_- (i just unhooked everything to confirm this) Only if we all forget that you own the burden of proof. It's not enough for you to simply declare "the L86 was stealth nerfed" and then claim you have a successful argument just because no one is willing - or even able - to counter it. If this kind of argument was valid, you could just claim something silly like "unicorns exist," point out that no one can categorically refute your claim, and then insist that we must accept the existence of unicorns. I don't claim to know for certain there wasn't a nerf; I'm only bringing forth reasons to doubt your claim that there was. If you read the gumball jar example in wiki article I cited, I'm basically claiming we don't know if the number of gumballs in the jar is either even or odd, and you're explicitly claiming that the number is even and expecting the rest of us to put forth evidence that it is odd - as though our not proving the number is odd proves it must be even.

probaddie you really need to read the thread again. you are repeating what has already been said.

Your question was loaded with an assumption that no one here accepts and that requires evidence to support. You can't ask, "how many hours a day do unicorns sleep for" and expect an answer when no one you're asking accepts that unicorns exist. If this is going to be the level of maturity with which you engage in the discussion from here on in, then I'm done with it. Edit: I never mentioned that all my video evidence comes from PC. I would genuinely like to see what's happening on PS3. It's entirely plausible that there's a discrepancy between the two systems - think MP40 from World at War - but we'd have to see it to believe it.

We answered your questions. The answer was that your observations were most likely mistaken. We have provided strong evidence of such. Please read. Don't get me wrong, we'd love to be proven wrong, but you keep 'running your mouth' without anything more than an observation which has its validity in strong dispute.

But, the claim that there are such things which are falsifiable is itself a 'non-falsifiable' claim, an absolute axiom, therefore insofar as they say there cannot be anything which is absolutely true they contradict themselves. This is the great contradiction involved with all philosophic viewpoints which reject the validity of metaphysical speculation. The rhetoric of 'burden of proof' is never effective on the opposition unless they accept this logical positivism. I say just go to the default mode of all human thought: causality as in the four causes and contradiction as in. . . contradiction.

But, the claim that there are such things which are falsifiable... What? I think you meant to say that the claim that the existence of Russel's teapot is unfalsifiable is itself unfalsifiable, and that that undermines the positivist claim - I grant you this only for the moment - that Russel was trying to make. No one claims the teapot's existence is falsifiable, since you can always shift the goalposts so that the teapot always becomes "undetectable" by the best tools of perception. (Not to mention that that would, prima facie, defeat Russel's original point.) And that's exactly the reason why the falsifiability of the teapot claim is no object: it is a tautology. No matter what human perception may be, the teapot can, by definition, be made undetectable. Although "detection" is obviously a central idea to positivism, no appeal to positivism itself is required to establish the tautology and therefore no contradiction exists. In fact, Russel wasn't really making a positivist claim with the teapot. The "detection" aspect of the claim was just incidental to the fact that Russel was applying his reasoning to the claim of the existence of an undetectable being, namely God. The core of his argument is that any claim - whether of a positivist ilk or otherwise - should not be accepted without a proper argument to support it. It's an axiom that goes to the very core of philosophy itself. Without it, no statement can be reliably said to be "true" under any meaningful standard for that term. ... What did I just do? Edit: If you want to continue this discussion Jae can I suggest you make a thread in "What?" rather than continue arguing here? We're getting really off-topic.
