Look into it?Looking back to the Parabolic Mic, I'm not even sure how to classify it; is it a barrel, mod or an under barrel? Are there any attachment restrictions (like it can't be used with a Suppressor or something)? Can't be paired with the laser sight. No real loss there, so time to invest heavily into this nifty little microphone. Is the detection range unlimited/global? :3

The icon is even slightly different, it shows up as an empty vs. solid circle. Of course it's only useful if the other team is using suppressors ( which is normally at least half, lol) I have it on every class.

Nope. But you have to have DirectX11. But if you are on win 7 or 8, you should have DX 11, so what was the issue?

So I have been at a mate's place today to play the game. Been playing for hours and tried shotguns for ages.
-The Tac-19 is like the 870 from BO2 but worse. I used it with rifling and laser sight and was still inconsistent, ads'ing seemed to help.
-Didn't use the fully auto one because it looks rubbish, testing range showed it had no range pretty much at all.
-I used the Bulldog a tonne, and it isn't good. I even got one of the supply drop versions that has built in range boost (so I'm guessing probably one of the best bulldogs in the game), so I essentially was running it with double rifling and laser sight. I got many 2,3 and 4 hitmarker kills at close range with perfect hipfire aiming. Terribly inconsistent, only got OSKs within maybe 4m. I only played a small amount of Ghosts but I feel it is worse than the Bulldog from that game.
I find is especially laughable that even on the short testing range courses the shotguns could barely hit let alone kill most targets.
Next thing is the pistols, and boy do they suck.
-Atlas is a 2-4 shot kill semi auto 10 bullet mag. But the range drops off IMMEDIATELY. I'm talking 4 shot kill at like 2-3m. Possibly one of the worst pistols I've used in CoD history
-Grach is a 2 round burst 12 bullet mag semi. It appears to be 4 shot kill at all ranges, close and very far. It is kinda okay but still pretty shit.
-Single shot sniper pistol is good but somewhat of a troll weapon. I would compare it to a single chamber version of BO2 KSG (quite similar imo).
-PDW is a fully auto pistol with 15 bullet mag. 4-6 shot kill with SMG range at best. So yeah don't use it.
Basically the Single Shot pistol and maybe the Grach are the only ones worth considering.

Here are my first impressions. Keep in mind they are just first impressions: -Tac 19: It's like a really bad version of the suppressed R870. -S-12: A REALLY BAD version of the vanilla MW3 AA-12. -EM1: Quite possibly one of the worst weapons in FPS history. This pos makes the PM-9 look like the MP40. I am not kidding this weapon is sickening. It is worthless. It is garbage, avoid at ALL COSTS. -XMG: Oh my goodness! Did anyone play test this atrocious weapon? -Lynx: A horrible version of the SVU. It has FAR TOO MUCH recoil for reliable follow up shots. Just use the Atlas. -NA-45: Pointless gimmick. Has the potential to satisfy arcanine. Needs more testing but it is not good. Just use the Atlas. -MORS: Just use the Atlas. Actually usable though. Quickscoping is still possible and actually quite easy. -Any assault rifle: Thumbs up. -Any SMGee: Thumbs up. -Gung-Ho: What a disappointment. I was expecting some sort of godsend for shotguns. Boy was I wrong. If you like hitmarkers then this is for you. It gives the shotguns with the laser attached an ungodly wide hipspread. Worthless.

Few more things to add. Yeah what Shotgunsareterrible said, Gun Ho is rubbish. If it didn't so greatly destroy your accuracy it would be a must for shotgunning, but as it is I think it does more harm than good.
Also I played a few games with the single shot pistol (RW1 I think), I got red-dot and rifling. I was getting hitmarkers at close range so I'm guessing it has a sniper style body multiplier (only OSK to centre of mass). I also found it pretty fucking hard to aim, but that's subjective. So yeah if its not always a OSK at close range its pretty shit, better off using an actual sniper imo.

Ok it has been said, but this is the worst ever iteration of shotguns:
The Tac 19 is just barely usable ADS, with an incredibly short range, but since you have to ADS you lose the fast reaction that should be the shotgunner's advantage so any sub machine gun hipfired will probably beat you. And it doesn't even make a shotgun noise. There is no satisfaction...
The S12 generally needs a full mag even from very close range to get a kill, so you end up firing until you're empty every time. I nominate it for the single worst shotgun in COD history.
Haven't tried the bulldog yet, but even if it was twice as good as the others it wouldn't be half as good as it needs to be to be viable in a game with so much jumping and fast movement (which I really like, that is a great bonus).
Shield (the exo one) does have some utility with shotguns, you can use it to get in range and drop it almost instantly, but often someone has appeared to shoot you from the side by then.
RW1 makes the shotguns redundant anyway, while not 100% it is pretty usable, can get kills out to a good distance and the stock is decent, so it's a one point weapon.
RIP shotguns, the whiners finally got their way.

My initial usage of bulldog = hitmarkers all over the place, while kills are hard to come by. I might be using it wrong, but at this stage I am not optimistic.

No I've only used the TAC (which sounds and feels cool as fuck but like dey been sayin dis shit wack) but it requires Stock to ADS strafe/corner effectively.

More impressions: -The Tac 19 is actually usable with quick draw, laser sight, and advanced rifling. I had much more success with it once I learned the maps. -The bulldoge is pretty okay actually. Still gets hitmarkers but it actually kills. -Quickscoping with the MORS is easy kinda. -The Atlas 20 mm is a pretty cool guy. A little hard to aim though.

Quickscoping with the Atlas was probably some of the most hilarious fun I have ever had sniping (and I'm not a good sniper). It's so goofy but just so powerful.
Not owning the game means I get little chance to keep trying shotguns. But I'm still not hopeful.
One thing to note, the 'Spike' Grenade is freaking hilarious. That fact its returnable even when getting a kill with it is great. Its like a boomerang throwing knife. Probably not viable at all but still a laugh.

Not understanding their logic regarding idle sway on a semi, but not on full autos or bursts, but anyways...

Not sure what base shotgun ADS mobility is, but it's either laser or stock since shotguns don't have many viable attachment choices. I use stock over laser since you generally want to ADS. As you can see in my gameplay, hip spread is huge and the laser only tempers it slightly.

only tests for point zero range and shot a little bit above the head, can be inaccurate:
S-12 15-? dmg x8 - test: 30 health - 1 shot - 15 flashes = kill Bulldog 30-? dmg x8 - test: 50 health - 1 shot - 20 flashes = kill
Tac-19 - 50-? dmg x4+(1 shot on 200 health body) - test: 100 health - 1 shot - 50 flashes = kill
or perhaps a new bullet system where the center of the wave does more dmg than at the edge
