This is great. What do the 3 damage numbers signify? I assume that the first is damage at the shorter range and the last is damage at the longer range, so what is the middle one?
Thanks

Thanks There are midpoint drop offs much like black ops 2. The damage doesnt drop off over distance it will drop of at a specific point.

slightly off topic, I just had a crazy idea regarding why damage doesn't appear to affect anything on MORS:
Maybe the way damage variations works is that +1 affects only the minimum, +2 affects the minimum and the mid range damage, and +3, affects all three values?
Perhaps if someone tested the MORS silver bullet past 1792 units they would get results (I can't I sold mine)?
EDIT: just so everyone knows. the third numbers for the shotguns don't matter. Shotguns drop off the same as other guns do, so for example the Tac 19 does 50 damage per pellet, then drops off to 30, then disappears at the 10 damage value.

It looks like its pre-patch stats, based on the XMG damage, ASM1 range, EPM3 being a 4HK at range, etc.

No they're pre patch numbers.

Well the post patch ASM1 renders the KF5 pretty much useless.

Wait, so the Tac-19 is always a one hit kill in Hardcore then? Because I can happily (sarcasm) say that's not true (I've been once or shot twice by this thing and not died in Hardcore before).

Wait, so the Tac-19 is always a one hit kill in Touch Football then? Because I can happily (sarcasm) say that's not true (I've been once or shot twice by this thing and not died in Touch Football before). It has two damage drop-offs. First from 50 to 30 (@200 units), then again from 30 to 10 (@650 units), from the looks of Marvel's numbers. Not sure what range the damage drops to 0 at? Or does it continue at 10 damage to infinite range?

I remember marvel saying something about how it doesn't have a 10 damage range and that the minimum damage range is the range at which the gun doesn't do damage. Or something like that.

So the 10 damage part is meaningless? It actually just drops straight from 30 damage to 0 damage @650 units? How bizarre

Well not exactly, it just disappears at 651 units, there is no 0 damage.

So I guess that leaves penetration as the only explanation for kylet's experience?
yessss it always boils down to good ol penetration

does air count as a penetrable surface?

Yeah, they can, and I suspect that on non-shotguns it goes like this:
+/-1 damage: affects only the "long range" damage
+/-2 damage: affects "mid range" damage as well as "long range"
+/-3 damage: affects all three numbers.

i honestly don't know, cod is so fucking weird and random sometimes. its like those times when you're at point blank range with a shotgun, hipfire reticule completely inside the enemy's torso, fire, and get a hitmarker. i could probably just chalk it up lag or an idiot using a version of the Tac-19 that has less damage. because you have to be stupid to purposely gimp the damage of a shotgun.

I found that on shotguns damage seemed to affect pellet count. Though I guess it is possible that it also affects damage as well because shg hates shotguns.
The theory on damage was based on the fact that the best variants seem to be ones with +2 damage (Goliath, hole puncher, etc.) as well as the whole sniper fiasco. never mind I'm wrong.
Do you remember the color of the tac19? Perhaps range does weird stuff to the numbers?

Does anyone know the maximum damage of Ameli?? Marvel4 shows it was 49 before patch 1.07 which says ” Ameli: damage increased”. But when I tried with local testing, I couldn’t get any 2 shot kill (1 head shot + 1 body shot) after the patch. So, I suppose the maximum damage is 35 after the patch.

Did you test with stun grenades after to measure remaining damage? (1 stun grenade does 1 damage)
Change health to 50 and see if it still takes one shot and exactly one stun grenade to kill. Test headshots too. I wouldn't be surprised if SHG increased damage and then took the headshot bonus off the ameli.

Yes I did that test as well, with 50 health and one stun grenade + 1 body shot at close range. but I needed another shot to kill the bot. I didn't test 1 head shot plus 1 stun grenade with 50 health yet.

don't test with bots, test with a second controller and the player staying stationary. I'd test but I don't have my console with me at the moment.
Odd.....I have one idea: In half health mode go at close as possible to the player and shoot them in the head. See if that kills them in one shot.
