Have barely played since patch so I can't give too much of an educated thought on the matter. Is the in class balance pretty good in this game?

In my opinion, everything is very nicely balanced except the following weapons are poop and need buffs:
- Mk14 - S-12 - Bulldoge - EPM3 - NA-45 - Lynx - Atlas 45 - MP 443 Grach

EPM3 needs reduction in the bullet trail so you can see the targets. Or give it thermal and make it a god gun. NA-45 Explosive gets too many hitmarkers I find(Running the gun with danger close). Lynx Needs less recoil because it currently performs best mid range which I disagree with.

Lynx needs to be 75 damage with multipliers of 2.0 for HS, 1.5 for neck, and 1.4 for upper torso and needs -damage variants doing 70 damage, silenced version dealing 55 damage, and both doing 50) That way it functions like the MW1 dragunov.

Does the Lynx benefit from stance bonuses? hellz yes. its actually not that bad. i really enjoy using it. i get 5-7 headshots on average per round with it, and so long as you remain kneeling or prone its pretty good. could use a bit higher fire rate (and no inaccuracy penalty) but altogether its not as bad as everyone says. i play really well with it, irons or normal scope. in fact, after using it for a while and accumulating ~100 headshots, it was pretty difficult for me to even go back to the MORS...

Also why is the Atlas bad? It just seems like a run of the mill pistol to me (unless you just mean all pistols are bad which is pretty true)

this is exactly right. why are the pistols so shitty in this game? the railgun, im fine with. any pistol that kills in one shot, im pretty much down with. but the other pistols are HORRENDOUS. pistols should be 2 shot kills up close, 3 shot kills in the wheelhouse and then drop quickly off to 6 shot kills at long ranges. but short to medium range, it should be very viable. edit* im i think third prestige and have only two viable elite weapons. the steel bite (which is actually pretty decent, on par with what the m16 style AR should be STOCK), and the railgun pistol with built in acog. i havent spent much time with that one yet though. but it seems pretty good.

Contrast these pistols to BO2, where the secondaries were incredible and totally worth a point. ...and place SACx3 in Mid Tier Oh, I forgot the semis. They are, of course, shit. Fuck, the EPM could have the same damage profile as the MW3 MK14 and it would still be bad. (Albeit compellingly bad.) And the SACs are fun and I do well with them, but I'm not confident they're any good. 3055 pointed out to me that the Bal probably has greater efficacy from the hip (about the same fire rate, same damage, and tighter hip spread).

The SN6 and ASM are better comparisons, but hipfiring any AR shouldn't even be remotely competitive with akimbo SMGs. The SACs are bad and Glen should feel bad. Can you use them effectively and do well? Absolutely. They're a complete hoot. But they're bad and you could do better with any other SMG. Except, of course, the AMR.

Well I play hard core and the Tac-19 has 30 minimum damage with incredible range. It is an absolute beast there, snagging 1 hit kills from any normal encounter range. I love just flying around maps with that thing. Just 1 pellet has to connect. So it's actually beneficial to use variants with less accuracy (more hipfire spread) so you can have even worse aim and still hit your target. If they increased the low damage to 34, would that make it more viable in core? Or would that become overpowered

Best: AR- BAL27 (inferno variant imo best gun period) SMG- ASM1 (magnitude & speakeasy very very good variants) Sniper- MORS Shotgun- Bulldog LMG- Amelli Pistol- RW1
Worst: AR- Mk14 (would be good if it was 2-3hk or 1hit to the head) *honorable mention- AE4 SMG- AMR Sniper- NA45 (virtually unusable in core modes) Shotgun- S12 LMG- EMP3 (not sure how this even made it on the game) Pistol- atlas 45

Just noticed today on ps3 after the most recent patch the bal 27 red dot optics dont bounce anymore. They used to like the ak 47 in previous cods. This makes it even easier to acquire targets and stay on them.

This makes it even easier to acquire targets and stay on them. I noticed this too. I hadn't used the bal in a while so I wanted to see how it was post patch. To me it melts even more now. Its like a completely different game with the bal in my hands. Theres just no stopping it.

Why everyone is bitching around the steel bite(Damage +3, Accuracy -2, Fire Rate -1)? It shoots at 810 rpm (720 console). The hole puncher (Damage +2, Accuracy -1, Handling -1) maintains the 900 rpm losing less accuracy.
