I was scrolling through Marv's spreadsheet when I saw that next to the ADS-in column, there was another marked '?'. I had a little idea, and was wondering if that might be the stat that's responsible for that annoying ass ADS transit animation stutter you get when using Gung-Ho. Maybe they actually intended that to be a way of balancing it on all weapons overall? Not saying that it's not a glitch, I just thought it might be worth checking out and seeing if the time the stutter adds to the animation matches the times in the '?' column. And yes, I am aware that it doesn't actually affect the time that it takes for the weapon to reach ADS accuracy but it does affect the animation (in fact, it seems to affect it more if you add Quickdraw grip but I can't confirm this).

I think quickdraw grip just makes the stutter way more noticeable because you expect to finish the ADS animation so quickly.
I run Gung-Ho on every class and this is really one of the only things that mars this awesome game for me. Srs.

But if for every gun tested it seems to add ~100 ms to the ADS time when using Gung-Ho, then that might be what this 'secret' stat is.

I still don't get this problem.. Is the ads animation still going while ads accuracy has started?

I still don't get this problem.. Is the ads animation still going while ads accuracy has started? It stops for a really short period, then goes into full ADS. A really good way to notice it is on ARs.

Right, but does it do anything? It seems to be visual only... and, it once the ADS animation SHOULD BE DONE, you have regular sights, so aiming isnt hindered either..?

It's visual. For example on sniper rifle it takes exact same amount of frames to Sniper Scope pop up.

Thats what I figured.. so why does anyone care? It seems like getting angry about a bad reload animation...

That's an opinion. While the gun is still down, you have a complete clear sight picture.

The only thing you can aim with is the middle of your screen.

For going from sprinting to long range firing it would be nice to have immediate access to the optics I spent a point on instead of waiting. But that's not a huge deal, for me it's mostly just that it is UGLY AS HELL AND HOW MUCH MONEY DID THIS GAME MAKE?

Keep Quickdraw on a class and try adding and removing Gung-Ho. The class without Gung-Ho gets to use its optics earlier. You silly goose motherfucker.

Well then it is a problem. I couldn't tell if it actually delayed optics or just made an ugly animation
