I stopped using the Nambu and ariska a while ago because of the bad iron sights. Actually I tested it with a friend shooting across the map and it seems that they are perfectly fine on consoles, well at least on xbox 360. BTW i read about this on a forum that some guy asked if there were any tips for create a class in cod 5. He ended up quoting a whole email(I think email).

The Arisaka has always been fine it's the Springfield that hasn't. And I'll test the Nambu myself on the PS3 version of the game.

Yeah the Springfield one you have to cover up your target with the iron sights.

No, it's not all that matters. People like you are responsible for the rapid stagnation of the beautiful English language.

No, it's not all that matters. People like you are responsible for the rapid stagnation of the beautiful English language. This, exactly. I was just thinking on my way to class today how crazy it is, how single words, strings of a few abstract characters can elicit such depth and emotion. It really is art.

Heck, typing like that is more of an art than using the proper. A grand population able to hivemind a "shorthand" with versatile spelling that is still understandable to those outside of the loop and can even reach through language barriers with far greater ease than attempting to teach all of the nuances of any literal language's grammar and 'fixes.
Typing like that leads to lots of misunderstandings and oversimplification, though.
Imagine a book entirely in text shorthand. it b lik flors 4 algernon but on da internet
And I'd like to know how that Nambu on consoles works out.

I do agree that it is miraculous in a sense how individuals can still manage to comprehend each other in the absence of any official, established shorthand. As you mentioned though, it oversimplifies language, which in my opinion greatly deprives it of attached meaning and emotion - and while I'm no art scholar, I think most art is judged in the degree it communicates and represents the thoughts and particularly the feelings of the artist.
When I mentioned that I had been thinking about it earlier, the train of thought actually began when I passed a large billboard with simply the word "Lost" printed in large text, with some subtext I couldn't make out. Just reading that single word recalls memories with attached feelings of frustration, isolation, etc - I don't think "L0s7" or "lsot" would've done the same thing.
I'll test the Nambu and Springfield for the 360 when I get home tonight if no one else has. Before I read about the misaligned sights I had always used the Nambu, and I seemed to do pretty well with it.

The Springfield on console is definitely the same as on PC on the PS3 in particular. Not sure about 360 Arisaka remains fine despite whatever the thread-starter said.
My friend had to go before we tested the Nambu, but we'll do it tomorrow. I'm gonna get him to register here as well.

Yeah on consoles well at least the xbox 360 all the iron sights are fine. As in the bullet actually goes to where you aim it.

Yeah on consoles well at least the xbox 360 all the iron sights are fine. As in the bullet actually goes to where you aim it. My testing confirms that result. I went into split-screen with a Nambu, had the victim crouch so he wouldn't move, and slowly inched the crosshairs towards him, stopping to fire every time I moved a few pixels. I tried multiple times from each direction, and it seemed that I always began hitting once the crosshair was over the target. I performed a second test with one of the wooden targets, firing at the center of it between the scored paneling from a distance, and the bullet holes landed where I aimed the crosshair. I couldn't test the Springfield, as there aren't any split-screen classes that use it. From online experience it seems to have the misaligned crosshairs though, but it's not nearly as significant as the Nambu's IMO as it's only misaligned vertically.

vis is a grammer nazi. It happens English is a "beautiful language" but listen to some middle english or old english. The langauge changes over time because of people that say "retarded" and gay. after a while that might be the actual definition of the word
