Hey Den,
What's your opinion about this? Is it worth to trade perk 1 slot for a puny +200 center speed? Or is it better to keep the perk and blow the crap out of your opponents with it?

It's is a must imo. saw hip bonus is amazing and rpd 2 shot kill lazer is better than any perk 1

On the SAW, yes. On the RPD, only if you intend to use it at very long ranges or without Stopping Power. On the M60, well, I just don't use the M60.

SAW, yes. RPD, no. M60, no.
W1200, only if it really bothers you that the weapon doesn't completely recover before the next shot can be made. M1014, no.

Thx guys,
Btw, is it worth to trade -200 center speed for 30 fov in ACOG on M4/G36c?
I thought I might ask this here as well since it's still related to center speed.

^I love the ACOG on the M4
I also like it on the G36c but you have to burst fire the weapon in shots of 4 or the recoil becomes too great

The G36C is way more "accurate" with ACOG than any other weapon.

SAW, yes. RPD, no. M60, no. W1200, only if it really bothers you that the weapon doesn't completely recover before the next shot can be made. M1014, no. I think the grip is definitely worth it on the RPD if you're the type of person who uses it in long-range confrontations. The irons for it are beautiful. RPD + Grip + SP + Deep Impact is one of the best all-purpose classes (i.e. useful at any range) around. The grip on the SAW is sooooooo sexy, though. It basically turns the SAW into a P90 on steroids. SAW + Grip + Double Tap + Steady Aim is, I am convinced, the best hardcore loadout. Every bullet is a 1-shot kill, and that setup will put a ton of 1-shot kills into a very tight space in a very short amount of time without ever needing to pull up the sights. Best CQC gun in the game. The G36C is way more "accurate" with ACOG than any other weapon. It has better first-shot accuracy by FAR (because it idles much less- when prone it barely idles at all), but the recoil is so great that I still struggle to call the G36c an "accurate" weapon with the ACOG, since the first shot will hit and all subsequent shots will miss.

... The irons for it are beautiful. RPD + Grip + SP + Deep Impact is one of the best all-purpose classes (i.e. useful at any range) around. ... Definitely. Once I figured this class out in my early days of playing COD4 it really helped ease me into the game and become a much better player for it. However, there are some times when that red dot sight on the RPD is just too tempting. It feels like I can hit anything at any range with that RDS. Some of my best matches (100 health TDM; many kills, near zero deaths) have been on Countdown, hiding in the smoke and shadows, laying prone with my RPD and RDS. I really should boot up old COD4 and try this SAW + Grip hip fire you guys are talking about...

I really should boot up old COD4 and try this SAW + Grip hip fire you guys are talking about... I've left WaW to go back to CoD4 the past couple of days, and SAW + Grip + Double Tap + Steady Aim + Hardcore really feels like God Mode. I'm a total sucker for Claymores and UAV Jammer (I have both on probably 90% of the classes I make, whether HC or SC), but somehow my favorite class has NEITHER. The SAW is a 1hk at any range, and with Double Tap it puts out 1200 RPM. With the Grip + Steady Aim, it has better hip-fire accuracy than an SMG (although not better accuracy than an SMG + Steady Aim). It really owns the field at ANY range. Up close, the ability to put out 1200 rpm in a radius tighter than an SMG's hip-fire radius means a MASSIVE advantage in head-to-head situations. In mid ranges, pull up the sights and the grip lets you deliver a massive stream of on-target bullets. At long ranges, pull up the sights and gently sweep the SAW over the target- all you need is for ONE bullet to land, and remember that you're putting out 20 bullets per second. And you have 100 bullets before you have to reload (and the SAW reloads about 3 seconds quicker than the RPD or M60). Get a good headset so nobody can get the jump on you (because you can't use Claymores to cover your flanks), and you've got a setup that's perfect for tactical loitering, running and gunning, close quarters, long ranges, anything you could think of. It's an okay class in SC (although you're MUCH better off with SP instead of Double Tap), and it's merely a very good class in objective gametypes (because the movement speed is slower, which makes it great for supporting the faster players grabbing the objectives, but weak for actually racing to and securing the objectives yourself), but in HCTDM... like I said. God Mode.
