First post here, been a long time lurker, but I came across this video and had to come here to ask about it! ------------ WingsofRedemption (I hate him) - a YouTube sensation for his MW2 commentarys (which suck, btw) made this BC2 vid, and made these three claims: Red Dot sight increases accuracy. 4x ACOG scope decreases accuracy. MMNAR (the accuracy perk) only works with iron sights and significantly increases accuracy in full auto mode. What the hell? Is this true? Here is the video. Right at the 5:00 mark is where he mentions it. Audio is poorly synced with the video, but you just need to listen.

He means well, but he bases all of his insight off of personal experience, not game coding like we do, so he is wrong a lot of the time.

The sight attachments do not affect recoil or accuracy in any way.
The Kobra Red Dot has the same zoom field of view as the ordinary sight. The ACOG has a zoom increase about 2.35x greater than the ordinary sights, making the kick look 2.35x greater, but the literal recoil and accuracy is unaffected.
Aim Specialization improves the spread of weapons in both postures, from the hip and down any sight.
All three "versions" of the weapon call upon the default weapon file for recoil and accuracy variables.

I see where he gets the whole MNM training thing the Prima guide actually says that it doesn't work with red dot or Acog but, then again it also says each class gets two grenades.

Great, thanks a lot Den. Just what I thought.
I knew it was true, but I just had to prove it to him.

Prima guides are usually made a long time in advance. In a multiplayer game like this, there's little guarantee that the guide is accurate on everything by the time the game is released.

Hence it's ludicrous that they charge for them. Although correct me if I'm wrong, but if a guide is "THE OFFICIAL" guide, don't they get exclusive inside info from the developers?

Don't be so hard on the guy. He often comes off as very pompous, but even there I've seen him tone it back recently. He is a very good player and he is trying to help people. His commentary tends to be pretty solid and doesn't come off as fake and he puts out a lot of videos.
Why do you hate the poor guy?

He goes and records matches and when he finally gets into a room with terrible players and stomps them, he throws that up and commentates over it like a backwoods hillbilly with a plug in his lip. He tries to sound smart, he bashes "public players" but... he is one. He's just an a-hole youtuber with (obivously) very little knowledge about the gaming community and the games he commentates for. Toolbags like him should not be allowed up publish videos on youtube.

He tries to sound smart, he bashes "public players" but... he is one. This is pretty much what every successful youtuber does... Play a lot of games, get a good game where the latency gods smile upon you or the opposition is just really weak, commentate it and put it up. If you want to put him down for his accent then ok, but I'm alright with him. Anyways, I won't pursue this conversation any further, unless someone says something really stupid that bugs me too much.

His accent isn't the point.
The point is he thinks he's a good player, he thinks he's a good commentator, and people buy into it. He's garbage.

WOR, from what I have seen, bases his information off of unreliable sources (previous games) or personal experiences. Most of his information is wrong, but I would give him a break.
Although he did mention in one of his videos that crouching gives you a 25% chance of neutralizing bullets that come into contact with your gameplay avatar. I would be curious if Den, or anyone else, could confirm that.
