Maybe you were harmed by something else before being hit by the PTRS-41. Maybe whatever body part that was hit actually has a 942x multiplier.

How do you know the PTRS didn't have SP? There's a lot reduced health servers too (30 or 50 health) on the PC at least.

Anyway, I snipe all the time and COD WW has horrible hit detection. Some times my shots don't register at all; sometimes kill shots (head, upper chest, etc) don't kill. I pretty much went back to COD4 because I'm sick of it. I'm gonna try W@W again with the 1.2 patch. I'll see if it's any better.
