i was playing on CTF, Dome and a few people were spawning at the corner of the stairs. so i placed a Betty wear they were spawning. and for the rest of the game no one spawned from that spawned point.
my question is that do Betty cancel out the ability to spawn from that point due to some spawn killing prevention system or is it just a massive coincidence? hypothetically if this is not a coincidence than cant this be used as a way to get the enemy to spawn from one point and then die?
but to put a Betty on every spawn point is hard/ impossible in heated combat. so it would have no real practical use

There is actually a part in the _spawnlogic that looks for Claymore/Betty radiuses.
If the spawn is anywhere close to the trigger area, that spawn will be avoided.

Double the radius... 400...
Or maybe 1024.
Or 22500.

so can it be used for spawn trapping?
or are their to many spawn points to put bettys on. or will a failsafe system will kick in and just have them run into a betty

400.
Due to the 360° radius of the Betty, it covers more ground than COD4's Claymore (which uses the same exact "isPointVulnerable" thing based on its detection radius).
A group effort with multiple mines placed in all the right spots and a bunch of guys who won't die (and who are in key positions themselves) would have only a shaky command over where the enemy spawns. Being able to pull it off would be downright impossible. Enemy spawns are far flimsier in WaW and they will end up anywhere on the map with the slightest opening.
