I saw this as an unlockable gadget on my stats page. I've never seen it--does anyone have one? Is it any good? How do you get it?

Your not hallucinating, I too saw this on one of the "third" party stats pages. In seems to be inactive. Probably written into the code, but, not implemented into the game. Possibly they just imported the M1 Garand gun code from BB1943 and left out the bayonet action? Den would probably know more...
You are my bro, bro.

Several of the weapons in Battlefield 1943 are partially or fully included in Bad Company 2. The Thompson, 1911 and Garand were copy-pasted from multiplayer to multiplayer. The Type 100 is in the very first level of the campaign. The Rifleman's rifle-mounted grenade launcher on the Garand is there, but unused. The 1903 exists as an Award image, as though it were to be in the player's arsenal. The only thing related to the M1 Bayonet (both the knife and the Garand-attached knife) is that the "US_LongKnife.res" texture is there in name only. Likely the same filename as the 1943 knife, but with the modern knife texture in its place. As for the website that showed it, maybe just a mistake?
