What are some fun tactics that you've used so far?
Playing HC with Red dot Sniper rifles 1-shoting people
Planting MCOM Placing C4 all over MCOM, throwing a sensor ball watch as dots crowd around then BOOM

this may be well known, but anyways: place 2-3 C4s on a quad drive directly (or wiggly) at enemy tank jump off and detonate when qaud reaches tank watch tank go boom finish of eventually exited tank driver and his engineer friends
works great in conquest mode: plant line of C4 on road to flag where tanks will come in pull out main weapon for your own safety wait for tank to come, kill oncoming infantry in the meantime blow up C4 when tank moves over it
also well known, but hardly practiced: friendly medic dies in front of you take his kit revive him

This needs to be expanded upon.
Pick up anyone's kit (Friend or foe) to use their utility equipment before returning to your own kit. Equipment does not replace other equipment across classes, so you can drop a health pack, ammo box, and motion sensor if you're sitting on a big pile of bodies. Even better, you'll get all the points from all of them if others are around to benefit.
I'm like a rabid ammo hunting fiend as my Saiga-Recon build, constantly looking for lightning bolts to swap and drop ammo.
C4 can also be used in more diverse ways than those usually listed (like above). First and foremost, if you have the high ground, use them like grenades. They won't throw far, but they fall off buildings/cliffs just fine.
Secondly, use them to insta-clear MCOMM or other rooms with the simultaneous use of grenades. Slap a C4 against the wall, back up at least 10 metres, throw a grenade at your C4, instantly switch to the detonator, and blow the wall while the grenade is in the air. If you time it right (And you're far enough from the wall) your grenade sails through the hole you blow in the wall with no delay. This two part explosion tends to kill anyone in the room, even on the other side of it.
Leave C4 on any vehicle you abandon. If an enemy hasn't cleverly "stolen" it by the time you're far enough that the vehicle is on the outer limits of your screen, blow it up to return the spawn to your base.
Slap C4 on MCOMMs while arming them. Worse case scenario you still get 50pts for MCOMM damage.
Consider placing C4 on the ceiling indoors, instead of on the floor. It mitigates the use of cover (Those big indestructible consoles won't help if the blast is coming from above) and is really hard for the enemy to spot even if they see it on the mini map.
If you use C4 in the entrance to a building you expect to be breached (Defending a station, waiting for an armed station to blow) don't sit there with the detonator in hand. Put the C4 in a clear spot within the entrance, and aim at it with your gun. This means your pants aren't around your ankles if someone comes from another direction, but you still get to insta-gib anyone who tries to breach you.

I guess it would take practice.

Fielded Ammo Box
C4 Assault, separated by an overwhelming force from a Shotgun Recon who needs ammo.
1) Drop Box. Calculate angle, gravity, wind resistance, how long it would take a train to get from Chicago to Houston.
2) Place X amount of C4 behind ammo box.
3) Detonate. Around the world, off Grimace's head, ricochet off an enemy tank, slingshot around the gravitational field of a fat guy, nothing but net.
4) Guy gets ammo. He decimates the enemy force from behind almost single-handedly with C4 and buckshot.
5) Brofist.

Dropping 7 mines on the road. dropping 7 more mines when you die repeat till road is craters and mines. Charging at the tank with a DRILL drill tank Driver is like; "OH I know, he's too close to shoot with the turret. So I guess I'll be smart and jump out and shoot him." Jump in tank kill driver and other tanks.

cheshire: thanks, nice ideas. i already used some of them in the game but couldn't think of them sitting here in front of the computer. i will definately try to integrate some of your tactics in my play, as i'm a big fan of c4. what also worked is lurking the enemy into following you around a corner, behind which your c4 is waiting to make him rest in pieces. oh, and for all c4 endorsers: not from me but a good example of rhythmic cutting

So throw c4 on wall, make hole, throw grenade through hole? Doing all of that so fast sounds impossibly complicated. It's way easier than it sounds after you do it a few times. I wish it was the precise, calm process described above, but in reality it's just mashing right click and "3" as you throw the grenade. SMOKE GRENADES Smoke grenades are the least appreciated tool in one's arsenal at this point, in my opinion. I'm astounded you can go several games at a stretch without ever seeing anyone use one. I think the major disconnect most people have in using them lies in shooting them at the feet of the person they're trying to hide or protect. While this seems obvious and logical, in most cases it is wrong. This pins them/you in one place which the enemy can still blindly fire or throw grenades into the smoke, and retreating is your only safe option. Instead, shoot it anywhere between you and the parties shooting at you. Ideally right on top of them, but anywhere at all between you and them will still hide you, and the closer you get the smoke cloud to them, the wider the area you can roam without being seen. For bottle neck area's of the map, you can either keep the attacking team from advancing or prevent the defending team from stopping you by just sitting on an ammo box and making a solid wall across the enemy firing line, forcing them to walk through it and emerge into a dead mans zone just to try and fight you, or allowing your team to effectively travel safely across an open area to the target. 99.999% of people (I counted >.>) won't do this, but will instead withdraw from the smoke, letting your team leapfrog enormous distances up the map. For area's where your teams progress is struck and there isn't a bottle neck to abuse, make a "tunnel" of smoke. Sit on an ammo pack in your teams forward line, and start walking smoke grenade rounds in a line towards their lines. Ammo packs will refill smoke as fast as you can reload and fire it (even with animation canceling) and you can make a solid tunnel of smoke at least 50m long in a matter of 30 seconds. Your team suddenly has an avenue of relatively safe passage (Relatively, because enemy teams will bombard the smoke at random with explosives) to run from your line directly into theirs. This can be a fun method of assault for the people charging up the smoke, as there tends to be a pitched battle at the other end of it. Throw in other things like removing tracer darts, the very occasional head-shot kill with the smoke grenade itself, the increase in survival rate when engaged from range, the ability to travel open area's without fear, and the smoke grenade handily beats the shotgun or grenade launcher in terms of usefulness to your team. /rant

I agree on the smokegrenade, it is really annoying when someone on the other team uses it well.

Smoke grenade can be evil, but even the best players prefer the grenade launcher most of the time. As a personal opinion, I prefer Shotty+C4.
