Hi den, could you give me the zoom ranges from all weapons? I noticed the bar zoomes further then the type 99 for example. And the tompson maybe also further then the type 100. And also, do ads (like aprentice) change this?
thanx in advance, Qupie

The default "hip" view is sixty five degrees. It can be increased to eighty on PC. The Apprentice won't change zoom field of view, but the Aperture might.
Pistols = 65
BAR = 40 (50 with Bipod) Type99 = 40 (50 with Bipod & Bayonet) DP28 = 40 MG42 = 50 FG42 = 50 30Cal = 50
Springfield = 50 (15 with Scope) Arisaka = 50 (15 with Scope) Nagant = 50 (15 with scope) Kar98k = 50 (15 with scope) PTRS-41 = 15
Thompson = 50 MP40 = 55 (50 with Aperture) Type100 = 55 (50 with Aperture) PPSh = 55 (50 with Aperture)
Trenchgun = 55 Double-Barrel = 55
SVT-40 = 50 (30 with Telescope) G43 = 50 (30 with Telescope) Garand = 50 (15 with Sniper Scope) STG44 = 50 (30 with Telescope) Carbine = 50

Doh, I ment aperture offcource hmm, I really thought bar was better then type 99, are you sure the 99 doesn't have 50 without the pod/knife? Anyway, now I know why the tompson feels better. also, what is the enlargement (I really wouldn't know the english word for this...) for every weapon? is it just for example 65/15 = 4.3 times bigger for the sniper? this really doesn't feel right... what am I missing?

Nothing. From 65 to 15, objects will appear just over four times larger than they would from the hip. 65 to 30, just over two times. 50 would be close to 1.55x, 40 would be something like 1.8x.

Hmm okay, I would think it was about 10 times. But that would really be overkill on these maps. Thanks again.

Hey Den,
Aren't there any zoom figures for the FG42? From what I recall this comes with a telescopic attachment.
Cheers, cobraCordite.

I imagine it would be 30, same as other telescopics. Also, does a higher zoom mean it takes longer to bring up sights? I want to know if I should put a bayonet on the Type 99 for a 30 Health close quarters gun. I would only put it on to bring up the sights faster.

True mate, that would be a reasonable assumption. But I was just curious, as the scoped version of the FG42 doesn't have additional stats on the weapon charts either, like the other weapons with scopes have... is there any reason for this Den?
