Ok, im confused, the UZI has a higher rate of fire and P90 has a small and not very noticable difference to the UZI, Ak74 is more of a quicker version of the Ak47 and is not affected by steady aim, kind of balancing it, so what does that make the MP5, the way i look at it, it is out numbered, the M4 carbine has a higher rate of fire and higher damage at long range, and all of the other SMG's have a higher rate of fire, so that kind of makes it useless, I dont know,
What do you think of this Den?

You've got it wrong Moma, the 74u Hipspread is that of a AR with an attachment, without an attachment and steady aim its a normal SMG, same as the MP5 with better penitration, kick/recoil, etc.

The topic was mistitled and your post was indiscernible. If you had just said "what does the MP5 have over the other SMGs?" (no apostrophe btw) it would have made a lot more sense.
Anyway, the MP5 and the AK-74u have the lowest TTK of an SMG or automatic Assault Rifle when doing maximum damage. So basically this is an MP5 vs 74u topic. The MP5 has better hip accuracy when using a red dot or suppressor. It also has negligible idle sway, while the 74u has quite a bit. And the recoil is different. Personally I find the MP5's recoil more controllable. And I love the MP5's iron sights. But if you want to compare it to other SMGs and automatic ARs, then I will list the MP5's advantages over each.
M4-higher damage in close range (kills faster), better mobility, better hip-fire, much less idling
G36C-same advantages as M4 plus higher rate of fire
AK-47-same advantages as G36C except for higher damage in close range
MP44-same advantages as AK-47 except for much less idling, much less recoil
P90-higher damage in close range (kills faster)
Mini-Uzi-higher damage in close range (kills faster), less recoil, easier to control ammo use
Skorpion-higher damage in moderately close range (kills faster), larger magazine, easier to control ammo use

Pro gamers "callisto" Couf Couf, and many other players, use it ALOT, he even went as far as saying
-The best over all SMG, I would even go so far as to say that the MP5 is the best over all weapon in cod4. This weapon maintains good acuracy while moving and even when unzoomed, which is great for close 1v1s. The closer you are to your target the more damage this weapon does. Good for close to medium range, forget about long range it takes twice as long as usual to kill with this weapon from far away. The coolest thing about this weapon is most of the time you don't need to burst, full on auto is the way to go.

Thanx I-AM-BORED, im didnt post this because i was lazy, the reason why i did start up this thread is because I didnt know half the stuff i know now if it wasnt for this Message board, for instance, i had no idea that steady aim didnt affect idling weapons, heck, i didnt even know that the ak74u was affected by weapon attachments,
and, ah, sorry for the mis-leading title... ;.(

Steady Aim effects idling weapons just as much as any other weapon, but it does not reduce idling.
