Hey guys two Barebone playlists have been added. Unfortunately they only disable kill streaks. There's one playlist of TDM & FFA and another one with objective playlists. It's currently out on the 360, not sure about other systems yet. So far it's really fun, less tactical loitering and RAGE overall.
Oh and I found boosters in a Barebones FFA match, WTF?

I find boosters in it as well. I personally don't enjoy the playlist, I relish in both destroying enemy killstreaks and raining death in my own.
From my expirience, Bareback Mt. has just as much OMA abuse and tactical loitering as any other playlist, except SnD I guess.

Its fun as EVERYTHING! But they should have axed deathstreaks aswell.
perks are kinda gone now as hardline & CB are useless. im running into FAR less NJP users in this gametype also opening up HBS & 3rd perk maddness to the masses.

They have added a Barebones playlist, but got rid of CTF.
Another reason to get rid of the game.

FourZeroTwo said that Moshpit and CTF would most likely be added back on when the map pack playlists go. Barebones arrives on the PC and PS3 July 6th BTW.

Barebones is awesome! Four on four works way better in my opinion. I was never sure why the Wii was the only console to feature a four on four tdm playlist.

The reason why I'm disappointed, is because they have all these rediculously broken perks like OMA, and Cammando. This is the closest thing they could of did to fixing them, but no, they decided keep perks enabled. Damn Infinity Ward are cabbage!

If they disable perks they would have to disable attachments, which they CAN'T do. It sucks...

It should have just been like Call of Duty 2. A man with a main and a secondary weapon, and some grenades. Nothing else.
Obviously a combat knife as well, because smacking a guy with the butt of a rifle will be more difficult to integrate.

There is definately some meat left on that bone, with those perks still enabled. I don't think this is enough for me to dust off my MW2 copy.
No perks and no attachments would be amazing.

But they aren't gonna make shotguns primaries again and shove all the machine pistols into the SMG list (even though they're good enough for that) just because we want to play Call of Duty 2 with a UMP .45 and an M9 instead of a Tommy gun and a Mauser or something

IMO, a true barebones in MW2 playlist would have no perks, killstreaks, or attachments. Probably limit equipment also to Frags, Semtex, or Throwing Knives.

maybe just remove all perks and only specific attachments. obviously the HBS with no ninja to counter. thermal has to go. no more CB. silencers emags rds holo all dont really bother me. it wouldnt make much difference if you got rid of the sights anyways because of all the laser guns. toobs aren't a big deal without scavenger or OMA

I really enjoy the barebones playlist. i do think that removing death streaks as well should have been a no-brainer. I like having perks and attachments in order to give additional variety.
My biggest complaint is why team deathmatch and free-for-all in the same playlist? that makes no sense to me. (Neither did including FFA in Mosh Pit). I could understand Merc TDM and FFA, but why would I want to recruit a team and then play against them? As it is I just try to convince people to skip any FFA and then back out of the lobby if it's unavoidable.

Tried it last night and liked it. At least you don't have to worry about boosters. Hahaha. This morning I found about 6 boosters in the same FFA Barebones match. It was gosh-jolly-wizz GAY. I find boosters A LOT in Barebones now, about as much as normal FFA, it's ridiculous.

Taking away my ability to hold more ammo or frags or C4 because you want a tube makes sense. Keeping me from running long distances or reloading quickly because I want a tube makes no sense. For tubes to take up perk 1, perk 1 has to be relevant to ordinance and ONLY ordinance. The tube never kept me from using Sleight of Hand or Extreme Conditioning. Why should it now?

you keep saying that argument but that is what the game already does... why cant I aim steady, and be verry silent? there is nothing there that should exclude each other. or why cant I run longer and reload faster? there is nothing there that excludes eachother. in other words: these choises are made because of balance, and then, letting somebody not run faster/reload faster or have more ammo in any way, can be a pretty nice balance!. why would perk one ONLY have ordinance in order for it to be fair? right now, you also choose between more then 2 tubes/one claymore (scav/OMA) or faster reload/longer running. and it is balanced now. MW2 has way les obvious balance, but the perks are more or less balanced. and there is something that should be dont against OMA tubers. removing the 2nd perk would be way to bad. removing the 3th perk, would make no sence because it solves nothing. removing the 1st perk would make absolute sence, because that is the perk that influences your combat effectiveness in a pretty much secondairy way. it makes you more versitile. Now, wouldnt it be perfect sence to get rid of that versitility (is that a word ^_^) in order to get other versitility? (a tube!) and if you want to look at it at a different angle: you cant use marathon with scavenger, why nog you might ask? well the only logical reason is: because you carry to much ammo. when you use a tube, you are carryíng two pretty heave grenades.... That is where your point gets lost, because there is no obvious balance any more like it was in COD 4/5
