The way i understand that the shooting mechanics work in this game is that you shoot your gun and then the sights jump based on the recoil stats and at that time the next bullet will be placed within a cone of where your sights are currently pointed based on the spread you have racked up to that point. if you keep firing your sights will continue to jump upward and the spread cone will continue to grow in size, and if you stop firing the spread will reduce at 3 degrees per second. But what about Recoil? Some of the charts around here are measuring a guns accuracy based on the rate it gains spread - the rate spread recovers but i think it might be better to measure accuracy based on how fast recoil stacks onto itself because it seems that recoil affects my accuracy much more than spread. Take the M1A1 for example: it has really heavy recoil @ 25kick and .6 amp but its spread numbers are .45... which isnt much worse than other guns... and when firing on auto the M1A1 is really inaccurate. At what rate does recoil in battlefield 2 recover? And is it the same for each weapon? Thanks you're all my bros

I guess I'll answer if Den won't. You're right about spread with the clarification that weapons are ALWAYS RECOVERING SPREAD; not only when you have stopped firing, and so every weapon's spread recovery (which is 3 is most cases) is always working against the spread accumulated with every bullet fired. Neither Den nor I know how recoil fully works yet, but those AMP and KICK numbers DO relate to the recoil gained per shot. We don't yet know what the recoil recovery speed of BC2 weapons are. However, I do know from testing, that recoil recovers far more (at least after all bullets in inventory have been spent) if you are NOT holding down the trigger . I believe burst weapons are more effective because of this. Also from testing, I have concluded that the vertical recoil is more effected by AMP, and horizontal recoil is more affected by KICK.

Hi folks. Did anyone ever find out the answer to the second part of that question? "At what rate does recoil in battlefield 2 recover? And is it the same for each weapon?"
As well as a more definate answer to the first part?
Thanks!
