Before you master your main weapon, first you must master your sidearm.
I honestly cannot fathom how easily I can beat people using my sidearm (Not saying everyone online is incompetent). Earlier today I went 44 and...13 I think using the MP-433. Anyway, of all my years of playing fps's I feel I can give some pretty good advice of what weapon to use in conjunction to what play styles someone may use.
M9: Basically this is your bread and butter side arm. This pistol can easily be used in any situation comfortably. Since the rate of fire is almost to slow for the recoil to take into account, there is little need to adjust your aim vertically.
Like I said, this gun can used with any strategy or weapon effectively.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MP-433: This gun is almost useless without Magnum ammo. With magnum rounds, the MP-433 turns into the M9 but with 5 more rounds and a higher rate of fire. I am sure there are players that can use this gun effectivley without it, but for me, it is a must! This is the only one of the two semi only handguns that takes one shot less to kill point blank going from a 5 hit kill to a 4 hit kill.
I mainly use this weapon when I am running a sniper without extra ammo and magnum rounds. This is basically your "oh doo-doo "weapon when you can hear someone coming up those stairs behind you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
M1911A1: This is one of those harder to use weapons. If you can mange the seemingly low ROF and small magazine capacity, you get a overall better version of the M9. Like I said though, you need to have almost near dead aim to use this effectively since missing one or two rounds is unforgiving.
On a good day, this will be your most formidable weapon, on a bad one, it will be near useless. So if you are having a bad day, use the M9. This gun can be used in most situations, but I feel it performs better at longer ranges.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MP-412: This weapon should be used with an smg or shotgun; however, if you are good enough AND use magnum ammo, this weapon can be a formidable beast. 2 hit kill point blank is pretty powerful and can easily catch someone by surprise.
I feel this weapon has a blind spot if you will. Point blank and long range this revolver is awesome. Medium range...not so much. Your too close to have time to aim and too far away to rapid fire. Find a way to make the fight to your advantage by either pecking off snipers or defending a narrow pathway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
M93R: I don't like this gun. I think it's stupid and useless. That's just me though. I guess at "point point" blank it could work but I like having more control using single shots.
I would say use in conjunction with a Sniper, but I hate HATE HATE this gun.
