Are the Empty Reload and the Empty Add Times on the M1 Garand transposed perhaps?
I don't see how the bullets can get added in 2.5 seconds if the empty reload is 1.6, plus the regular add time is 1.6, so methinks these numbers are just backwards, mebbe.

Even if they are transposed the M1 Garand is still interestingly the only weapon with a faster empty reload time.
Oddly enough there are other weapons (not the Garand) that have a faster empty add time than normal add time, even when their reload time is slower. In fact most of the weapons that don't have exactly the same add time have a smaller empty add time.
Anyway, I just found that interesting.

It isn't interesting that the Garand has a faster empty reload. It automatically ejected empty clips, but partial clips had to be manually ejected.

Oh I meant it was interesting from a gameplay standpoint and from the attention to detail, though the weapons have all been balanced for gameplay rather than accuracy. i think it's a nice touch, though.
I do find it odd that the add times are so different from the reload times, though. I wonder if this was meant for balancing, though it mostly affects more advanced players than the more casual players that don't even know they can interrupt a reload.

I hate it though that the add time is just longer then the animation :So I OFTEN run with the gun and see an empty mag in the rightcorner of the screen. (so after trying to reload) (also another reason why I really DONT like the revolver)

The magnum's add time is exactly the same as reload, though, rather than longer. So you can actually just use the animation to time it. It is still about twice as long as the other pistols, though.
I'm gonna have to test this now, though. If the add time for the M1 Garand really is longer than the reload anim that's just evil.
