Hey Den, could you add a scale for each map in CoD4/5 so that we'll know the exact distance during combat?

Probably. Each map on the radar for COD4 is scaled differently by a variable called CompassMaxRange. Knowing this number will tell you exactly how far you can see on the radar and makes figuring out distance for just about anything, anywhere, easily. Example: Shipment's length and width is 1500 units of measurement from wall to wall. CompassMaxRange for shipment is measured at "1400". In-game, the image of the map will be slightly larger than the radar's bounding box. From top to bottom, or left to right, you can see a range of 1400 units of measurement (or 700 units to the front/rear/side of your positon (or 1000 from your position to a corner)). For now (or ever), all of the "compassmaxrange" values for every official map. COD41800 = Backlot 2000 = Bloc 1800 = Bog 2100 = Wet Work 2000 = District 2000 = Ambush 2000 = Countdown 1600 = Crash 2100 = Crossfire 2000 = Downpour 2200 = Overgrown 2200 = Pipeline 1400 = Shipment 2000 = Showdown 1900 = Strike 1500 = Vacant 1600 = Broadcast 2200 = Chinatown 1600 = Creek 2200 = Killhouse WORLD AT WAR 2100 = all maps Lucky, every single map in WaW uses a unified 2100 CompassMaxRange. So that's 2100 from top to bottom (or left to right) of the Radar box. 1050 in any direction from the player's arrow. 1500 in any diagonal direction from the player's arrow. 3000 from one corner to the opposing corner. - There were some hitches when I was checking. Switching between maps sometimes defaults to 2500 Compass Range, making the map small and giving you a good view... or sometimes retaining the Compass Range of the previous map. That might have just been due to how I was cycling through the maps.
