A quote from Den:
"Basically, a Dog Call sends out eight dogs. Only four dogs can be on the map at a time, the other four are reserves for when an existing one is fragged.
The Dogs will jump into the area from one of a few entry points, often close to the allied spawn and/or just outside of enemy spawn points. They will "track" (move to) the spawn point and spread out from there. The pathing on some maps may be deliberate or just unsupporting; the dogs will sniff out the enemy (but really, they know exactly where all of the enemies are) and will usually circle around structures and such.
If an enemy is in sight, a dog will often head straight for him, and by "straight" I mean "follow the path nodes until they get to the closest one then break off to attack". "
This topic will get deleted.

There may be multiple entry points, but I'm pretty sure that, for a single dog call, they all come from the same entry point. I was running around the perimeter of Castle, and just as enemy dogs were called, I saw them jumping over a broken section of wall. Killed all eight of 'em.
I really wish I coulda heard the guys reaction to not getting a single dog kill =(.

I snipe from a spot on cliffside that they come from, after the first wave die I hear the second wave, lay a betty or 2 then stand back and ready a grenade. Ofcourse, if the first wave are out for 1 minute, the second wave don't come.

Ofcourse, if the first wave are out for 1 minute, the second wave don't come. Once you kill those 8, all 8 would be dead and no more dogs would respawn, because each dog call only nets 8 dogs. The reason you're probably thinking they spawn in two waves is because they do come in two waves- two waves of FOUR each, for a total of 8.
