Whenever I use the 74u, I feel the time it takes to aim down the sights and my movement speed is that of an assault rifle and not like the rest of the SMGs.
Is there any truth to this Den, or am I just imagining it?

Yes. The AK74u has an Assault Rifle's ADSTrans time, 0.05 seconds slower than an SMG.
It is also classified as a Rifle, earning it the 95% movement speed.

Bludy hell. That's a good observation. Not surprising, bearing in mind it's your fave weapon, Mr Blame Truth  YouTube stalking ftw. So how exactly is the AK74u anything like an SMG? |

Aiming down the sights allows full movement speed, compared to actual assault rifles being slowed to half while sighted.

So, it's RPM is slower, attachments gimp it, movement rate not as high etc
Why was the G36c not similarly made like an SMG, it's dumb :/

^people only like the MP5 on consoles because they NEED RDS, probably because they're playing on cheap SDTVs where they can't see anything anyway

Actually, I love my 17" SDTV.
Especially with my 0.5 mbits/s download and 0.2 mbits/s upload. The 80+ Ping really takes the cake (for a UK server less than 150 miles away ;D)

Idle sway is difficult to actively compensate for on consoles, so the MP5 is usually easier to control.
