I love these things. At first I thought they were stupid, but after using them I discovered how awesome they are on the right map.
It doesn't say anywhere (or at least anywhere that I saw) that they were persistent, so I always just assumed they weren't, just like C4. Much to my amazement and eventual happiness, they are!
However, I can't find a source on the chart or on here using the search to answer a few questions I have on them:
How long do they persist?
How many can you have out at once?
I see based on the damage that one *should* be able to blow up most tanks, assuming it "hits" the underside, but I never get them to work that way so I have to double them up. Sometimes I even triple them up to be safe, because I HATE getting the "Vehicle Damaged" update when it's not followed-up by the "Vehicle Destroyed" one. Is this overkill? Should two be sufficient, assuming they are close enough? I try to spread them out about 2m or so to cover more space, since the explosion from one should trigger the second one, right? Should I be doing something different here?
On a related note, does the "Explosives Mk. 2" Spec boost AT Mines, and for that matter does it also boost stuff like the Mortar Strike, and the blast damage from the vehicles? I'm assuming no on the vehicles, but I just wanted to be sure.
I think that just about covers it, thanks in advance for your help on these!

I'm pretty sure you can have six out at once, so you can cover three spots with two mines.
I'm not sure if Explosives Weapon Damage increases the power of AT Mines, but it definitely increases the power of the Mortar Strike.
Explosives Weapon Damage doesn't affect vehicles, you have to use the Improved Warheads Package vehicle specialization for that.

Cool, thanks. I have definitely had six out at once before, but I'm not sure what the cap is if you were to resupply from an Assault teammate.
Any idea on how long they last?

They last till they explode. And, you can have six out at a time. Throw a seventh and your first one disappears. Explmk2 does make them stronger, as well.

you can have 6 out and they persist even if you change the class and they can be used as poor-mans C4 says it all doesn't it (should be 464, obviously mines are just as awesome in vietnam)

Awwwesome. I love these things. Took out two vehicles today in one blast, killing six dudes on Panama Canal; One Abrams and One Bradley, fully loaded. The best thing is that I didn't even do it on purpose! Wasn't even playing an engineer at the time, it'd been probably five minutes since I'd even put them down.
