Given that we don't always really listen to music when we play since sounds are really crucial:
What kind of music do you relate to gaming? I'm talking about the perfect soundtrack for your COD thinkings, that kind of music you like to put on your mind when you imagine the fragmovie you'll never mount because of your lazyness (I know you do it too, tell me I'm not the only one).

I find it difficult in CoD, seen as I focus too much on one or the other (music or game sound). My friends don't like me singing in a tone deaf voice down the mic, and I can't hear footsteps over music.
In other games though, anything with either a heavy guitar, someone shouting/singing angrily, or a good bass line will do. Or the Mass Effect 2 OST.

I also don't really listen to music while I play CoD(except when Ninja sucked... those were the days, could run Hacker without feeling I was missing something), but Classical music is definitely the way to go for racing games.

I don't listen to music when I play CoD. But the music I listen to is favourite on my Youtube page if you wanna know what kind of music I like. Nowadays I mostly listen to indie ish music and electronic kind of music. Usually with pretty inoffensive pop sensibilities (nothing too crazy). Death Cab for Cutie, Passion Pit, Motion City Soundtrack, Darwin Deez, Starfucker and Lights are probably the big ones. I also used to listen to a lot of classic rock, but I've been trying to expand from that lately. |

Requiem for a Dream I would assume is the song Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell. Beast composer. Actually, I don't know enough about music to make a statement like that. But I really like his original scores.
Could be the Requiem for a Tower Lord of the Rings redo too.

mateo: I listen to Ke$ha's Tik Tok unironically. At least to the extent that I genuinely enjoy it, the song itself it is full of blatant irony. I think it's a catchy tune.
I like Daft Punk a lot, haven't listened to anything post-Discovery though. I think Lady Gaga is pretty decent sometimes. Basshunter- I loved DOTA (the song) years ago, just recently listened to it again. Pretty good, I prefer Botten Anna though (for the lyrics at the very least).
What do you guys think Den listens to? I'm guessing like a mix between Modest Mouse kind of alternative and harsh trance stuff.

I don't play music when I play CoD, but I do when I play Halo. Usually I play one of Queen's first 4 albums, some ABBA, some Mamas and Papas, a Green day album, maybe some Slade. I have some Queen on vinyl, but my record player ruined one or two records of mine, so I can only play them on my dad's record player, but it's down stairs. |
