I know Dead Silence is near silent while walking but what about crouching? It seems like crouching is completely silent whereas Dead Silence still makes some noise, in that case I won't bother using it again as a perk. Thanks in advance.

Dead silence cuts noise down to a whisper. Guys with good ears / speaker systems can hear a guy with dead silence running around.
Crouching makes no noise.

Walking while aiming down the sights make no noise, even when standing.

I tend to use Dead Silence so I can sprint and maintain decent stealth.
As a general rule, when using SMG, walk down sites (or hold out pistol) When using others, crouch.
