I used to play crazy amounts of tekken but since I switched to xbox I haven't really touched it. Don't feel like shelling out big money for a stick and the xbox pad is completely unusable for fighters

There is a way to mod the xbox dpad to improve it. I'm keen to do mine, but I don't have the stuff to do it. Basically the #1 is to trim down the plastic ring around the dpad puck shaped crosspad to allow for fuller motion instead of banging up against it.

Actually maybe we should get a list of what games people are interested in? I think this is the right kind of community for really good fighting game players. I have Soul Calibur IV, Tekken 6, Street Fighter IV, MvC 2, and Fight Night Round 4 (if you count that). I'm thinking about MvC3, do you bros recommend it?

It has a huge roster of characters, the fighting style is simple enough for casual players to learn quick and deep enough for hard-core players to master. Insane combos and arial moves. Tons of super moves you can do. IT'S FREAKING AWESOME GET IT NOW!

Yea people arent paying attention to aerial exchanges yet so its best to get em in now while people dont try to counter. Im assuming youve seen J Wongs wolverine... that guys wolvey is absolutely insane. Did you get the Brady guide for MvC3? Its like 300 pages and is supposedly the best guide ever written. Frame data, strats, team synergies, unblockables, its got it all. I dont have it but Im prolly gonna pick it up soon

Once you know all the basic attacks and combos, it's really up to you to figure out what to do from there. Also, Wolverine is a little overused. Kinda like Dante but Dante is WAY more spammed on the online. Right now, I'm trying to get more familiar with chaining Hyper Combos and utilizing X-Factor to cancel one combo into another. It's beastly and easier to MAD COMBO with characters, especially if you got a character with Super-Armour moves or moves that remove your hitbox for a couple frames. Right now my new team is: X-23 Hulk Zero And my combo team is: Wolverine Chun Li Zero Mainly for the massive Team Hyper Combo with everyones area move things that I can't remember the names to at the moment.

Would SSBB be included here? Haven't played it much recently but I remember it being loads of fun.

I used to play crazy amounts of tekken but since I switched to xbox I haven't really touched it. Don't feel like shelling out big money for a stick and the xbox pad is completely unusable for fighters haha so, my battlefield guys were dispersed for a month or so, and I shelled out big money for a stick. Bought BlazBlue Continuum Shift. Haven't played it so much since my BF boys returned but it's a great game. ridiculously complex gameplay, fruity visuals. And man, using a stick is just very satisfying.

On another note, is using the stick enhancing your game play when playing fighting games?

massively. I was having big problems with inputs on the pad. With the stick, the only physical thing letting me down is timing, and that's all my fault. I've been playing Taokaka as well, her and Jin so far.

Although I never had a problem with BB on Pads.
