Kingdom Hearts, MVC3, Street Fighter Vs. Tekken, MK VS. DC, etc.
Crossover games have always been exciting, they take peoples' favourite franchises and clash them together in an epic battle of shear excellence that blows away all fortitude's of one's mind as he begins in the comprehension of his purviews in the unknowest of logical awesome that is, gaming.
Pro; Bound to get buyers no matter who they are. Con; Not enough of them on the market.
Really what I'm asking here is simple, what crossover of ANY franchise would you like to see? It can be comics, books, games, movies, cartoons, manga, anime, graphic novels, history parodies, anything to do with zombies, blah blah blah...
Here's the list so far, I'll try to add more when people speak their minds. Dynasty Warriors Vs Lord of The Rings (HACK'N'SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!! Virtua Fighter Vs Street Fighter (and hilarious lines on which the characters bash each other for stealing their fashion styles.) Bayonetta and Devil May Cry (because of epicness, no other reason.) Mass Effect Vs Star Wars (do I need to say anything?) Parasite Eve and Metal Gear Solid (horror survival stealth gameplay with RPG elements, whoo.) Final Fantasy Vs Naruto (popped into my head when writing this.) Gundam Seed Vs Transformers (MOAR GIANT MECH PEOPLE FIGHTING!) God of War Vs Darksiders (I can't explain how awesome this would be, look up both characters and decide for yourself.) Left 4 Dead/Resident Evil/Dead Space/<input zombie franchise here> (the ultimate crossover of ALL the zombie franchises, don't know how this would work though.) Team Fortress Vs Brink ("SCREW WALLHOPPING, I CAN ROCKET JUMP!" very similar games if you compare the classes and skills.) Halo Vs Dead Space (this would be a very interesting story.) RTS/FPS (idea by "phale") (a StarCraft meets Halo sort of thing, original and epic.) WarHammer 40,000 Vs EVERYTHING (idea by "niteshadex") (I have no idea what "everything" means but I think Chuck Norris is involved.) Contrámon (idea by "kirbyderby") (Contra meets Pokemon, or Digimon, or both, epic.) Sierra Vs. LucasArts Classic: Quest for Revenge of the Legendary Adventurers Super VGA Turbo (Den's idea) ("King Graham, Larry Laffer, Gabriel Knight, Sonny Bonds and Roger Wilco up against Guybrush Threepwood, Sam & Max, Ben, Indiana Jones and Manny Calavera.") Star Wars Vs Warhammer 40K (idea by "mateo") (read his post further down, and make a game out of it already.) Mortal Kombat Vs Clay Fighters (idea by "mannon") (I have no idea.)
Write up and tell us your crossovers and why.

Anything can go together with Dead Space. Man, just imagine a "Dead Space" Campaign for Battlefield 3. A meteor hits earth, in *insert random Islamic country here*. The people think it's the new Black Stone (the relic in the Mecca), while it's actually a Marker. Necromorphs spread and for once we will see a game where Russia, America, and those Arabs who managed to survive, will fight together for their life!

I've always had the idea of a large-scale FPS/RTS mashup - I'm thinking BF2 (and its Commander Mode) crossed over with something like Command and Conquer Generals. You could add in a Brink-style offline/online system with an extensive multiplayer mode. Commanders would call in units such as infantry, helicopters, and tanks, and soldiers would control them. While the Commander issues orders and provides support actions, it would be up to the soldiers to carry out the mission effectively, with all actions taking place in real-time. I'm not sure how you would balance something like this...

I'm not sure how you would balance something like this... Reminds me of this one game called "Zombie Master." I'm not sure how to get it but it's a game similar to Left 4 Dead with RTS elements. There are two types of players; survivors and the Zombie Master. The Survivors are real players and there is at least 16 of them, they have to get across the map, find supplies, kill zombies and do different objectives (different on each map,) and avoiding traps. The Zombie Master has a bird's eye view of the entire area, he can spawn and control the zombies, set off traps, create more spawn points, that sort of thing. He has a set resource point system that decreases depending on what and how many zeds he summons, the traps he uses, and increases over a set period of time, when he kills a survivor(s) and when certain objectives are done. It's very chaotic and there is usually not enough supplies to go around, so it can either turn into a mad mass of unarmed survivors or a three man group with shotguns and rifles.

Warhammer 40,000 vs ALL OTHER SCIENCE FICTION UNIVERSES! I could not get hyped enough for a game like that. There is just so much untapped videogame potential in 40k.

Warhammer 40,000 vs ALL OTHER SCIENCE FICTION UNIVERSES! Star Wars vs 40k The Empire goes to conquer a newly discovered galaxy through a recently discovered wormhole, to find hostile inhabitants. They have large ships but they are only as powerful as an Imperial ship 1/10th their size, and they have less range. The locals also seem to have a very slow and unreliable FTL system, which forces worlds to provide their own defense, and wait months for reinforcements. Hundreds of thousands of worlds have their fleets decimated by far more concentrated Imperial forces, but when they try to invade, the Imperial troops are slaughtered by battle-hardened ground troops. There are even rumors of demons among the ranks of some of the locals. Grounds attacks are stopped, the bombing begins. After BDZing most of the galaxy into oblivion, and setting up short term resource collecting facilities, the bulk of the Imperial force returns home. But something about them is different, something has changed.....

And on that note, I'd like to see a sci-fi version of COD and BC2.
I want to run around with a Pulse Rifle with E-Mags, an Inferno pistol, void grenades, and Power Armor (Flak Jacket + Marathon + Lightweight), Genetic Enhancements (Steady Aim + Sleight of Hand), and Lack of Faith (Scavenger) while fighting random enemies of all types.

Only you can't turn invisible, wait. 40k has invisibility, as does Star Wars. Also, you put a typo in the main post, you wrote Star Trek instead of Wars.

I know I'm old by today's standards but srsly. PS. Technically it's "Clay Fighter" singular rather than plural, but it still comes up in search.
