There is something that is just downright puzzling me.
My clan runs a WaW HC server and I need some help figuring something out.
I always use bolt action rifles, and the bare minimum these weapons do is 40 damage at the farthest range away possible (talking with no scopes here) And this is assuming a 1.0 multiplier whilst 1.1 and 1.5 multipliers are here for hitting chest etc....
If my friend runs Juggernaut which does .75x damage to him, why does it always take 2 shots to kill him?
Bare minimum damage=40 His health=30 and he takes 0.75x damage
40 (x 0.75)=30
Why does it take 2 to kill him? He should be dead assuming I hit him even from far away and in the foot which has a 1.0 multiplier.
Am i missing something here?
Edit: Now figure this out...I put a flash hider on an SVT40 which has a minimum damage of 30. Why does it take me 2 shots to kill people wihOUT juggernaught?

maybe its because you arent hitting him in the chest? A Jugg will still die from chest shot in 30 health mode. The only logical explanation i can think off is that the bullet went through some invisible object before hitting the target.

The only time the SVT would take more than one shot on a non-Jug would be that the bullet made contact with a surface of some kind before hitting the player.

HC is set to 30 health. Though I would love if it was 50 health.

The only logical explanation i can think off is that the bullet went through some invisible object before hitting the target. Most likely explanation. A lot of times, physical walls extend a touch beyond where the visible walls ends, or other such chicanery. Sometimes, even when it looks like everything is all open and clear, you're still nicking invisible obstructions and losing damage. This wouldn't be a problem if everyone just ran around willy-nilly, but since most people dart in and out of cover they're often going to be right around these invisible boundaries when you're firing at them. The best way to test would be to get a friend, go into a private match, and try some shots in an open field to make sure that everything is dealing the proper amount of damage.

Are you using a console? There are differences between the console and the PC versions.

Are you using a console? There are differences between the console and the PC versions. If he runs a server, then that means he's on the PC. Also, console bolt actions deal MORE damage at long range, which wouldn't explain why it takes 2 shots to kill, it'd just make it even more confusing.
