I made this little spreadsheet to detail how long it takes to kill someone and under what circumstances. Maybe you care? Old (incorrect) GIF is here: farm3.static.flickr.com/2618/3717652975_e9c332ed09_o.gifYou are my bro, bro. Update: Originally I forgot that the first shot is instant. The numbers have now been updated.

wat hap0n 2 skr0pian? u no liek ti? And this doesn't take range into account. Pretty fail/10 All these SMGs have the same range effects. You wanna calculate long range too? Other weapons? Be my guest. Long range SMG is pointless information because they are all the same aside from RPM. Skorpion is not on this list because the range is way short, so it's not a fair comparison.

I'm not talking about long range. I'm talking more about when 40-20 weapons drop to 33 damage. Stuff like that.

I'm not talking about long range. I'm talking more about when 40-20 weapons drop to 33 damage. Stuff like that. According to Den's chart, they all drop off to 20 over the same distance. The conclusions would not change. The only thing that would change would be that the kill time gaps would narrow. The spreadsheet doesn't have to be exhaustive to be useful. Besides, the purpose of this spreadsheet is to draw (or confirm) some conclusions about the most common scenario for these weapons, that being close-quarters and full damage. The conclusions, as I see them, are: - The MP5/AK74u are the fastest killers of this bunch...
- ...UNLESS your first two P90/Uzi bullets contain a headshot, in which case they kill a bit faster
- If you miss even once, then double tap is theoretically a faster killer than stopping power (there are caveats of course)
- Up until 3 misses, the MP5/AK74u are the fastest double tap killers
- In all scenarios containing a headshot, the P90 and Uzi kill faster, with growing significance as you add misses

They all drop to 20 damage at the same range, which is borderline irrelevant for what I am talking about. This chart does have to be exhaustive to be useful because it is extremely simple and easy to calculate just by using Den's chart. Here's a simple way of alluding to what I am trying to get at. The MP5/AK-74u do 30 damage at the same range that the Mini-Uzi/P90 do 25 damage.

The MP5/AK-74u do 30 damage at the same range that the Mini-Uzi/P90 do 25 damage. Nah you misunderstand me, what I said is that the distance between 40 and 20 on the MP5 is the same as the distance between 30 and 20 on the P90 (the portion of the graph that slopes downward). If you chart that out, the only observation you'll see is that the faster killing guns are still faster, but to a lesser degree. That's only mildly interesting at best. Especially when it's far more time consuming to calculate. Like I said, be my guest. The spreadsheet above may be simple but I doubt you've ever bothered to do it, and it's not on the main chart, so.... If you can show me anything interesting at all about the damage falloff that would change any of the above conclusions, I'll buy you a virtual cookie.
