Music volume is tasteful, but the sound effects are too quiet. And I have a few things worth noting from the sniper video.
It seemed that switching weapons ignored cycling the bolt. I think switching to and from the weapons was slow enough that it doesn't matter, but it's still something to consider. Also, the one marksman kill seemed to be too close to qualify as a real marksman kill. Finally, either every sniper video I've seen so far uses a close range scope, or the regular scope gives you peripheral view, as well as view of the minimap, hud, etc. If the latter is the case, then I don't really like it. It's not a huge deal though, since sniper Recons are receiving a few nerfs.
Edit: Now on to the lengthier video. I like how both the animations for going to and from prone can mess up your aim a little. I'm all for using prone in the middle of combat, but that doesn't mean you should be able to do so with no penalty at all. And I really hope that the laser sight is an attachment or something that you can turn off; it's quite annoying. If it is an attachment, I don't see why it exists. It bounces around too much to accurately show where your center is, and even so, the crosshairs already do a much better job of that. Even without crosshairs, you should know where the center of your screen is. It seems like a pretty worthless addition to me. And another thing I've noticed in this and other alpha videos; weapon switching seems pretty slow. I've seen multiple players get "stuck" on the Repair Tool while trying to find another weapon.
One last thing I'm extremely curious about: is there any invincibility involved while knifing someone? Either way, the animation seems to take a while, which can be used to your benefit. Assuming friendly fire is off, perhaps the angle at which you knife someone can turn your victim into a shield, so that you don't get shot by his teammates while you're stuck in the animation. If friendly fire is on, then his team could actually wind up killing him instead of you. If it's a reflective friendly fire server, then you could wind up taking out two guys as they try to save your victim.

I think I can help with the sniper confusion somewhat...
In a couple of videos I've seen that show the customization, there are multiple scope options. I saw at least three:
'no attachment' probably a default scope.
'something something (6x) zoom' looked ACOGish, and I believe was the scope used in frankie's sniper video.
'ballistic scope' More magnification than default scope? Zoom ability similar to Black Ops? I didn't actually see it used.
Laser sight is an attachment that supposedly increases accuracy somehow. Interestingly, it was available as a sniper attachment. Not sure if it can be toggled, but I assume so.
Now for some things I saw.
FACTION EXCLUSIVE WEAPONS ARG. I know it's more authentic, and I trust DICE, but I'm still a little sad to find out my navy SEAL can't use his favorite AK-47.
Silencers/flash hiders etc. are an attachment, and seem to be available to most weapon classes. I think it was even available on the support class LMG gun thing.
MP7 as an all-kit gun? it showed up multiple times in the customize menus, but I didn't see anyone actually use it.
Perky things: no magnum obviously, but I saw two abilities, one letting you run faster an the other giving you more ammo. There was also an upgraded version of each, but they did not replace their lesser versions.
Repair kit's description includes 'defusing explosives'... not sure what it refers to.
Extended magazines? saw a couple weapons with 45/46 rounds.

I bet they pull a Medal of Honor and make the factions exclusives unlock to the other side in late ranks.

I didn't notice going prone messing up aim, but that's great if it does: dropshotting makes about as much military sense as bunny hopping. In-game, it provides a huge advantage (smaller, lower profile that will easily fall under the fire of a full-auto weapon due to recoil), but traditionally has had no disadvantages. About the laser sight: I'm pretty sure it reduces hip fire spread. I would like confirmation if the laser is visible to enemies though.

Some other weapons that have been confirmed that I haven't heard mentioned before are the M27 IAR (US equivalent of RPK) and G36c (US equivalent of AKs-74u). It looks like both factions will be getting similar weapons for each weapon type.

Anybody notice the hipfire reticles with sniper rifles? That's new, and they are pretty narrow.

Anybody notice the hipfire reticles with sniper rifles? That's new, and they are pretty narrow. They are actually a lot larger than the invisible hipfire reticle of BC2 Recons. In BC2, close range, landing a noscope is very easy if you get used to it. I think they made it more CODish so that you can't be accurate with a noscope even in close range. I think in BC2 the hipfire reticle is a Cone, while in COD (and maybe BF3) it's a Cone with his head cut. The Cone makes it very easy to land successful noscopes with a bit of skill, the Head-cut Cone makes it a lot more random. I hope this is understandable, I'm not the best in expressing complicated things in English lol

You mean head-cut cone as in the point of the cone being cut off? as in even at point-blank it's already falling wide of the tip of the barrel? That's how I read it.
As for lasers reducing spread, figures for me. Lasers in Rainbow Six and Left4Dead, only games I've used with them, both have it reduce spread.

I believe truncated cone is the correct term.
Anyway, I've also noticed a few animation errors, mostly involving the prone animations. For example, when reloading while getting up from prone, the new magazine kind of floats into the gun. Also, when using the RPK, deploying the bipod will cause an error with the alignment of the front sight.
Original Post updated with G36c and Vehicle gameplay!

Even if the laser sight reduces spread or whatever, I'd never use it if enemies could see the laser. It would be pretty hilarious to see wookies hiding in a bush with a laser flailing all over the battlefield. And if the laser sight reduces spread, then what does the grip do? Reduce recoil?

im guessing if BF3 has a hardcore mode it would be a little bit helpful The laser point also seems to go OUTside the cross hairs when the surface is farther. I can't tell if the bullets actually follow the red dot or the actual hip spread hairs...

just played some at my friend's house the laser pointer actually can somewhat blind you by making your screen reddish when pointed at your face, as well as tighten hip spread bi-pods on LMG's (first support guns you get are 45/46 size clip, next comes SAW with 100 rounds) basically makes you a mounted machine gun, with lowered recoil and super duper tight hip spread (automatic mount upon right click next to a mountable surface) shotgun hit reg has failed on me ONCE, and getting consecutive headshots is a bit iffyy, but other wise the hit registration is lovely. Feels a lot like playing crisis 2 (HOLD down right mouse to aim, not just toggle aim) with no nano-suit. Hit markers are fainter, and the sound of hitting an enemy isn't as loud as say, BlOps. Getting shot at also gives a suppression affect, looks like sex. not sure, but i think health will automatically start to regenerate after about 30 secs* killing is very much faster than bc2, but not as homolicious quick as MOH/COD. Semi auto snipers kill in 2 hits (from my experience, all encounters were within reasonable range, i could be wrong about extremely long distances but so far it's 2 hits everywhere)- i personally believe they are a little OP when using as a defender considering their fire rate, but not as terrible as MOH beta snipe fest, especially since so far they have no special tools/weapons (this is just alpha and my friend and i have only unlocked acog for snipers) I'll try to help answer any questions best i can
*my sense of time is terrible. Could be 15 secs, or 45 for all i know
