I was wondering, is there litraly no difference between the Arisaka and the Mosin? It's just they, feel different....
Also, is the PTRS generally considered the best.
And am I reading this correctly, adding a scope also adds 20 damage, as only 'range' and 'accuracy' go green on the bar in game. I do understand the bars are not correct, but this seems a little odd.
You are my bro, bro.

Do you crouch a lot when using the scoped Arisaka? That would do it.
PTRS-41 is swell - less idling than the bolts, slightly faster rate of fire, does (more than 1) damage to the tank.
Thing is, the change in location modifiers makes the addition to damage for the bolt action rifles relatively pointless. 50 has x2, while 70 has x1.5, still one shot for a headshot.

The Arisaka and the Garand with a scope have an IdleCrouchFactor of 0.75, cutting the IdleAmount to 45 and 30.

Also, if the shot hits upper body (1.5 multiplier), and stopping power is used, (1.4 multiplier), it should kill in one hit, so is the only advantage to the scope the magnification, and the range thing, or does it affect accuracy?
Also, are you saying the Arisaka is better than the mosin, in every way except possibly the model, and the iron sights?
In general, to round it up, which early sniper (Springfield, Arisaka, Mosin), is best on softcore if stopping power is used, at should it be used with or without the scope.
Thanks a lot, this game seens to use very ilogical stats ;D

The Arisaka is the best scoped bolt-action rifle. The Arisaka is the third-best bolt action ironsight rifle, ahead of the Springfield, behind the Nagant and Kar.
It doesn't matter, all iron rifles are identical and you don't even need Stopping Power for Softcore's 30 health... oh wait.
It doesn't matter, all iron rifles are identical; the Arisaka is the best scoped bolt-action due to its crouch factor, but all four fall below the M1 Garand+scope and PTRS-41.

Surely they are all better than the M1 as they can kill in one shot to the chest, unlike the M1, unless I am mistaken. Also, what makes the nagant better in ironsights, in game I notice something, but I am not sure what.
Thanks again.

From what I've experienced when using it anyway.

The only thing the Garand lacks is a killshot to the stomach. Just as lethal otherwise, also the most accurate, the fastest-firing, the most ammo...
Kar98 and Nagant compete for first. Arisaka falls to third with its nub of a sight and obscuring peep rear sights. Springfield is last simply because the sights are broken.

ae?? dat can't be right. from what i see is that the m1 garand beats da shit out of all the others snipers. Treyarch havnt taking weapon balance into consideration with snipers if you ask me.
...not 60, not 45, not 40, SOLD!! To the guy at back who actually gives a shit about crouching!
yay

Arisaka falls to third with its nub of a sight and obscuring peep rear sights. Springfield is last simply because the sights are broken. This sums it up. I'll add one note - I notice a lot of people seem to think the scoped m1 garand is weaker than the scoped bolt actions. Stomach shots aside, It could be that they're not using stopping power, which isn't really necessary on the scoped bolts/ptrs because they have better damage modifiers. scoped garand, no stopping power: requires a headshot for a 1-shot kill scoped bolts/ptrs41, no stopping power: requires a head, neck, or chest shot for a 1-shot kill scoped garand, with stopping power: requires a head, neck, or chest shot for a 1-shot kill scoped bolts/ptrs41, with stopping power: requires a head, neck, chest, or stomach shot for a 1-shot kill Hopefully that's correct and clear. Scoped garand with stopping power is my preferred sniping weapon, but if someone really wanted to use some other perk2, the ptrs41 is probably best for them. For example maybe a ptrs41 + smg class using overkill could be fun.
