Well I've searched the forums and cannot find the definite answer to this question. Does Steady Aim have any affect on AK-74u? According to Den the answer is NO but as I read around the forums, Den is being accused of being wrong. So which one is it? Thank you.

Steady Aim's purpose is only to make the crosshairs smaller though. What I'm asking is that does Steady Aim actually make the crosshair smaller? Even if it shows the crosshair being smaller, does it REALLY make it smaller?

Even if it shows the crosshair being smaller, does it REALLY make it smaller? And why wouldn't it? Is there a reason you think it wouldn't? It doesn't say anything like that on the COD4 page, does it? Here's a little trick I like to use: iron sights. Hip-fire is too random and unskillful for me. It may sound kinda arrogant but I got a big problem with things that take extremely small amounts of effort to kill me. Using Steady Aim pretty much tells me you want to be even lazier. And I'm sorry if I come off as a dick. I don't mean for those questions to be smug or sarcastic. That's kinda just how I talk.

Oh not at all I agree with you. Sometimes Steady Aim comes in handy. Why I asked it's because according to Den it doesn't affect it.

Den never said that Steady Aim doesn't affect the AK74u.

Long, long ago, in an internet not unlike our own...
A guy asked Den "Hey Den, does Steady Aim make the AK74u's iron sights steadier?"
Den, with all of his numbers, said "Steady Aim only affects the crosshair. With a Dot or Suppressor on the AK74, Steady Aim would bring its assault rifle spread close to SMG spread again."

"Steady Aim does not affect weapons that idle, like sniper scopes, the M4, G36c, AK47, AK74u or ACOG."
This was taken from his Xanga's COD4 Info. Steady Aim was never suppose to affect any weapons when sighted.

He should have said "Steady Aim does not affect a weapon's idling," but he wasn't expecting people to be idiots so it is understandable.

Okay, I don't see anything idiotic about it. People just took it context for context.
