How much of a difference does the extra 5% of movement speed make? Do you notice a difference?

The default speed for the player is an arbitrary number measured at "190". At 95%, that number would decrease to 180.5.
I notice it.

The difference is that, with 100% speed, you arrive "first", and at 95% speed, you arrive "second" and are promptly dispatched by the guy that arrived first.
The difference is noticeable, but not huge. In a free-flowing game like TDM or Domination, it makes little to no difference. In any of the gametypes that always devolve into a race towards a pre-set objective (HQ, CtF, S&D), it makes a big difference. Especially in HQ, where every capture is little more than a footrace.

Thanks for giving me some definite numbers, Den.
I would think that skill (or in some cases, connection speed) would be a bigger factor in who wins the fight. Although, I do agree that in SnD and HQ getting there first is very important.
