Wow, I'll gladly eat my words. I always thought prizes like that were legendary and I never heard of anyone actually winning them. In that case I might be interested in joining. My goal for a MW3 clan is to find players who take winning seriously. Past clans I've been in have really let me down in terms of player skill and overall teamwork, cough* LeGiON cough*.
So trademark, this new clan you created under a new elite name, is it linked to the same XBL account, oTradeMark? Just confused on the whole process. Congrats on your success.
Lastly, I'm a premium founder who hasn't joined a clan yet.

Hey jim,
The "Elite Win" clan is just a casual clan that any premium member can join. I will organize groups to play with and you will earn double xp, clan titles and emblems, special tags and badges for competiting.
"The New Breed" clan is a competitive clan founded by several strong MLG players. If you place well enough in lone wolf competitions or receive enough votes to get an invite to that clan then you can compete in the top events with us.
To be honest, the exact rules for all of the competitions have not been laid out yet... so for right now I'm just organizing a group of people for the clan benefits like double xp and clan tags.
I always take winning seriously, so if you are interested let me know and I will send you an invite.

The competitive clan sounds pretty interesting to me. Kinda tired of running with people who aren't trying to win when it's really apparent that we have the ability to. I really want to apply to that or something, but i have a lot of things going on this winter. Maybe in the future...

Hey pirate, both clans will compete in events, and I will organize strong groups for both clans when they play...
The only difference is the requirement for "Elite Win" is just that you actively participate, while "The New Breed" requires you to be voted in.
It basically came down to the leader of the New Breed being upset at people joining the clan and not participating and not being premium members.
In regards to play times, send me a message via xbox live to EliteTradeMark or oTradeMark with your location. I will be creating a website shortly for us to connect players and start playing in groups to practice for clan competitions.

That's practically cheating lol. Not sure how that works, but mouse + auto-aim makes you extremely accurate I'd guess.
I really hate the word clan. I've always associated clans with bad players joining together to eek out wins. A team, however, is something I'd enjoy having. I've been lurking on this thread for awhile but was a bit leery of getting involved because I'd rather make 'friends' while playing. Mostly because a group of people that know one another fairly well leads to a more fun and effective experience. But damn, everyone is either insulting you for no reason or not talking.
So, here I am. Question however, if I join the clan and you already have recieved, for example, double xp for hitting 20 members, do I get it too or 'lose out' for joining after it was awarded?

So far we have 46 members, and I have sent friend requests out to everyone... but I can already see that it's going to be hard to play with everyone as I usually have more messages from people wanting to play than I have room to invite. I am going to try to setup "groups" according to location and interests... For example if you just want to win and play with a group of competent players you don't want to be paired with someone who just wants to goof around and have fun with RPGs. Then you can start playing with groups and I'm sure certain friendships/frequent play groups will start to form. In regards to the double XP, the hours are given to every member of the clan when the clan leader claims the double XP. I have not claimed the double XP for that very reason. I'm waiting for the roster to fill up before claiming the XP, as I want all members to be able to share in the rewards. |
