Nothing much to say here other than this game is stupidly fun. My GF and I have been playing it lately and despite the fact that we have to dumb it down to 800x600 and run it in a window with everything turned off, and it's STILL a glitch bastard that crashes, and lags and glitches us out so that we're under the ground, or appear to be dead when not, or just fly off in some random direction for no apparent reason, or die in lava because of a dialog sequence that stops us from moving but does not pause time, or the screen flashes stupid purple shit when anybody talks, or about five billion other glitches...
Seriously this is the glitchiest, worst optimized piece of crap I have ever played... and still it's fun as hell! That's saying something. ;p
It does have a steep learning curve at first, prolly why the early levels are so easy. You can really pull off some awesome stuff later, though. I've never played a game that did such a good job of giving me both powerful and clever things to do with magic, and yet have such a variety. The magic system is complex, yet elegant, yet just fiddly enough that you WILL kill yourself, and your friends, more than once. But the good news is... you're also going to laugh about it a lot.
All hail the Mage Suicide Simulator. (Just pray it runs on your computer, because the game really has some issues.)

Magicka is tremendously fun with friends, mostly because of how often you kill each other.
It's a bit too easy solo for my tastes; once you get teleport, tbolt and one of the acolyte staffs you can keep yourself alive pretty much forever and just melt everything with QFQFQFAS beam/aoe or QSD spam -> bolt. There's also a ton of instances where you can abuse the hell out of the AI, like FDE pulling aggro like nobody's business.
But it is awesome. It's also smooth as silk. I've seen very few bugs, and I've only crashed a couple of times in a dozen plus hours of play, on three different computers. Plus, all of those have just been loading screens that stayed indefinitely black. I'd be more inclined to blame your rig.
