Hi, Bro's, I'm trying to figure out how to calculate Rounds per Second.
At first I thought I had to just take the RPM and divide by 60, but there has to be something more to it.
If someone would like to be generous, could they figure out how many rounds/second the M16/P90 shoot? Round it down even if after the decimal it is .5 or higher.
It would be greatly appreciated.

60/RPM = FireTime 60/FireTime = RPM 1 / FireTime = RPSecond
60 / 0.065 = 923.0769 60 / 923.0769 = 0.065 1 / 0.065 = 15.3846

Thanks, Den.
Also, I got about 15 Rounds/Sec, but that doesn't sound right.
Can a P90 really empty it's magazine in around 3 seconds?

SPS is too varried and only the modified controller guys use it as a refference. the cycle time in MS is much better. 60,000ms/min. divide out from there.

Thanks, Den. Also, I got about 15 Rounds/Sec, but that doesn't sound right. Can a P90 really empty it's magazine in around 3 seconds? You say that like 3 seconds is really fast. In FPS terms, 3 seconds is AGES. Consider- good guns can easily achieve a killtime of two tenths of a second. In 3 seconds, they could wipe out 15 enemies if they could manage to land all shots and there was no interruption of fire (or of enemies). Suddenly those 3 seconds seem a lot longer, don't they?

That's true, but I still think 15 Rounds Per Second is speedy.
It just doesn't sound right.

It's right. Fire 35 shots from the P90. Then hold down the trigger for a second.

Well, actually that does clear it up for me, thanks.
